Most Overrated Franchises Of All Time.

In order, beginning with the most overrated: Sonic the Hedgehog, Halo, Dragon Quest, Gran Turismo, God of War, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty, Prince of Persia. Of course this thread is all about posting your opinion. However, if you don't know (and I have seen that many of you do not), when you post your opinion, you better be ready to defend it and not pull the "opinions are subjective" card.cheese_it

the first 2(yes i eman pre gta3) were cool and ok, not too sure what they scored but gta3 was awesome but very repeatitive but in a way deserved its score as it was a hgue jump too 3d, just like sm64 and oot was, but everything after is way overated, copy paste add a few things here to make it look like its plays different(bikes motorcycles for instance) but same repeatitive mission after mission,and then sell it for full price. then it gets a 9.5+ score

Bull, a lot of things are great that aren't popular, the only reason things are popular is because it fits what the mainstream audience wants.

Anyways, pretty much the majority of big franchises are overrated, Final Fantasy came to mind while reading the title.

probably GTA. GTA 3 may have been revolutionary but the ones after are AA imo

They're just dumb down CRPGs yet they're so much more successful than them. 6. The Sims. A simulator... about real life... yeah... I don't know what to say because I don't understand it. 7. Dynasty Warriors. It became clear that Koei is too incompetent in giving us what we actually want after 4. The Samurai Warriors team is SO MUCH better yet they decided to closed them down and let them handle the spin offs instead. Every game they take one step forward and two steps back. Dynasty Warriors is going through a Sonic the Hedgehog for you haters out there who don't understand. I would go on but after reading what I have it seems like I just want to piss people off, I'm honestly not. I just have picky tastes.cheese_it

Generally the Halo series, good game and all but it doesn't deserved all that recognition that it should have in my opinion.
