360 - Halo ODST
PS3 - MGS4
Multiplat - Burnout Paradise

PC- I dunno. I have enjoyed all the games that have been highly praised.
PS3- I haven't played enough games to make a judgement
360- Fable 2. The game is pretty terrible, I don't get why so many people like it so much.
Wii- Super Mario Galaxy 2. I can see that it's a good game, but it just wasn't as fun as the first to me for some reason.
Multiplat- Half Life 2 easily. It's pretty fun, but the actual shooting part is not very good, and the story is barely there. It's a fun game, but would get a 7 or 8 out of 10 from me.
good thread
PS3 - LBP it's fun but it's not amazing
Wii - SMG 2 didn't deserve a 10 in anything
360 - Halo series and Gears series, both fun but both non deserving of all the praise they get
PC - Stalker, stop trying to tell us its the best game ever PC gamers...it's not
Multiplat - GTA 4, boring, repetetive, and ugly
Multiplat again - MW2, just not all its cracked up to be
China Town Wars could of been your multi-palt. It was a DS title first. They said Liberty City Stories, not Chinatown Wars. And Dragon Age seems to be love-hate, and I'm on the love side. I'd make a list but it's pointless and I can't be assed. All I can say is I see a lot of people who haven't actually played Crysis.[QUOTE="charizard1605"]Oh, and multiplat... I'll say Dragon Age: Origins. I just never got that game.jasonharris48
This. Well in my case I do not dislike any of the titles I mentioned. I just disagree with all the praise those titles get.[QUOTE="SNIPER4321"]There is no such thing as overrated. Its just AAA game you dont like.ubpoker123
This. Well in my case I do not dislike any of the titles I mentioned. I just disagree with all the praise those titles get. That's what I think seeing how the games I listed aren't even bad games.[QUOTE="ubpoker123"]

Tough question.
Wii: Donkey Kong Country Returns -- nowhere near as good as the first 3, as many are saying. I picked it up release week, played it for about 2 hours, and haven't touched it since. (close second is SMG, which, as far as the genre goes, wasn't nearly as fun as super mario 64 or spyro the dragon)
360: ODST -- 20 dollars too much for a glorified expansion pack, definitely didn't deserve AAA
PS3: Don't have the console, but from what I've briefly tried out, I would have to say Uncharted 2 (didn't really like the gameplay itself).
Multiplat: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare; Call of Duty: World at War; Call of Duty; Modern Warfare 2; Call of Duty: Black Ops -- To put it bluntly, they all suck, and I am almost appalled by the number of people who consider them the best shooters of this gen.
PS3: Heavenly Sword
Not fun at all and nowhere near what I heard it was going to be like.
360: Project Gotham Racing series
The same old formula, which sucked in the first place.
Wii: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Dull and uninspired. I pray to God that Skyward Sword lives up to hype.
PC: Any racing game that also is on consoles
Racing games don't really suit PC's (IMO). If the game is available on console, I'd rather play it on that.
M/P: Super Meat Boy
There was only one logical answer. Of all the games I've ever played that I've been the most disappointed in after reading the review score, this is the worst.
X360: Halo ODST, what is the difference between this and Halo 3?meetroid8
Err...no Master Chief...?

paranoidpixie95
That's kind of funny considering pc has some of the best racing game control options (albeit they're expensive), and iRacing, basically the most realistic racing game.
360: Halo 3/ODST/Reach (take your pick)
PS3: Killzone 2 (I dont like console FPS' in general)
Wii: Galaxy (love it, but id say overrated for sure)
PC: WoW ( I love blizzard, in fact sc1 and sc2 are my fav games of all time, but man do i hate WoW)
360 - Halo Reach. 2001 gameplay, 2004 graphics. Horrendeous.
Wii - Super Mario Galaxy. Tacked on waggle gimmick, horrible camera, and the gameplay was dumbed down to the point that it was unrecognizable.
PS3 - Warhawk. I can find no redeeming qualities in this game at all.
Multiplat - GTA4. Do I really need to explain this one?
-Xeno-
Really? How about the netcode, variety, maps, anything? Still the best multiplayer game this gen, imo, even if the gameplay isn't my favorite. Lag sucks, and the Warhawk devs think so too.
Also, I've never heard that many people talking Warhawk up like it was the second coming, so I don't see how overrated applies.
PS3- GOW series. Most boring, lame excuse for a game I have ever seen. All it craves is shock value. Shoulda been rated AO for its graphic scenes of violence and brutal content.
XBOX- Halo, Gears, take your pick.
Wii- Super Mario Galaxy. Tried it, could not get into it.
DS- Pokemon. Same sad excuse for a "story", the mediocrity of it is incredible; the only thing that changes is the graphics, world and new creatures.
PSP- ?
Multiplat- Call of Duty Black Ops
PC - Crysis (TEHGRAFFIX)
360 - Gears of War series (first one was good but got repetitive and boring)
PS3 - Uncharted series (I just don't see what's so good about them, they're extremely linear with little replay value)
Wii - Super Mario Galaxy series (I just prefer 2D platformers to 3D)
PS3: Resistance; game was boring as all hell
Wii: Wii sports tbh, the only decent sport on that game was Golf.
Xbox 360: Fable series; always thought they were mediocre rpg's.
PC: Half Life 2, i got it day 1 of release (a few days before actually but couldnt play it till the release day) but could never really get into it, and didnt get blown away as i expected too.
Xbox 360: Gears of War, was really hyped for the first game and had a blast with it for a week or two, but it had alot of problems and those got old quick, never bothered with GeoW2.
PS3: MGS4, thoroughly enjoyed MGS and MGS2, never played MGS3 but was pretty hyped for MGS4, got it on launch and altough there were some fantastic set pieces and some great gameplay sections, overall the game left me feeling underwhelmed.
Wii: I've honestly never played a Wii game so it wouldnt be right to call a game on it overrated.
Multi-plat: CoD: MW2, i enjoyed MW it was a decent game, but the sequal was horrible i literally brought it back the day after i purchased it.
There is no such thing as overrated. Its just AAA game you dont like.SNIPER4321
This is true, but there's no harm in playing along as we've all played games that scored high that we wouldnt have scored as high.
Xbox 360- Gears of War 2. Man, this game blows. It's hilarious to see so many Xbox fanboys try and praise it. It kills me a little when the really hardcore fanboys praise the story.
Wii- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. What a terrible, terrible sequel to a fine, fine series. Let's all count our blessings that Retro are finished with Prime because they've only gone downhill. Lack of exploration, puzzles, atmosphere and a focus on lame shooting and a dull, forced, children's story. "The good guys always win, right Samus?" STFU. You ruined Metroid!
Multiplatform- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I still can't believe people enjoy this crap. The campaign is a mess. The multiplayer is a mess. The coop is a joke (though it oddly isn't a mess). And it looks like ass. In 2009 everyone was on ODST for not looking great despite it being made known that it would be using assets from an older game (hence why it's an expansion) but MW2 just looked TERRIBLE!
PC- I haven't really played any bad PC exclusives yet. I haven't played many though as most of the games have been multiplatform with the exception of the two Crysis games, both of which are spectacular!
PS3- I haven't played any exclusives on the platform yet.
Xbox 360: Halo 3. Just couldn't get into the game. I've never been a big Halo fan but definitely felt underwhelmed by Halo 3 in all aspects, even though my expectations weren't that high.
PS3: Uncharted 2. Don't get me wrong I love the game, but I hardly see why it received all the praise it did. It was a very fun, very well made game, but I definitely thought there were other, better titles released in 2009.
Wii: Kirby's Epic Yarn. Disappointingly easy and boring. Donkey Kong Country Returns was a reimagining done right.
PC: The Witcher. Just can't get into the game no matter how hard I try, I just find it boring. Hoping Witcher 2 will be better.
Multiplat: Modern Warfare 2. Can't think of a better candidate.
PC - Starcraft 2. CoH games wipe the floor with it.
360 - Halo 3.
PS3 - Uncharted 2.
Wii - SMG2.
Multiplat - MW2.
PC- Bad Company 2(I don't care, its a sorry console port with little PC features bolted into it.)
Jebus213
console version
PC version
how this is a sorry console port? what PC features are missing?
It seems to me that 'overrated' is becoming the excuse word to hate on popular games.
DraugenCP
Just because you think a game is overrated does not mean you don't like it. I'm guessing it bothers you that people are hating on Stalker? Just remember none of these opinions matter and also debate! Defend the game you like. This is System wars after all.

NeonNinja
The reason why MP3 "ruined Metroid" wasn't Retro's fault, but Nintendo's. Nintendo is the one telling them how to make their games.
If they are going down hill, then DKCR wouldn't have been the outstanding game it was.
PS3: Uncharted 2, good game, but not that good
Xbox 360: None that are exclusive, all of them are rated pretty fair
PC: all PC exclusives are underrated, SC2 was robbed of many awards since it was PC exclusive
Wii: SMG2, Most overrated game of all time
Multi: RDR and GTA4 both tie for this, Mass Effect 2 comes close aswell i guess, ME2 is just Gears of war with a dating sim mode
its not just xbox fans that gave praise to GeoW2 it received great reviews everywhere. its a great game you don't like.Xbox 360- Gears of War 2. Man, this game blows. It's hilarious to see so many Xbox fanboys try and praise it. It kills me a little when the really hardcore fanboys praise the story.

360 - Gears of War 2 (in retrospect, this game isn't all that great)
PS3 - Killzone 2 (COD in teh future!)
Wii - haven't played enough Wii games to tell
Multiplat - Gran Theft Auto IV or Mass Effect 2
PS3 - Uncharted 2/LBP/Killzone 2 - UC2 is AAA worthy, but not worthy of all the praise it gets. I have just never gotten the LBP, despite owning both. They're interesting in theory, but I just find the gameplay to be pretty bland & boring. Killzone 2 ain't got nothin' on Halo.
360 - Forza 3 - Just seems really bland & boring to me. I can't think of any other AAA exclusives other than Halo & Gears at the moment, but they deserve their scores.
PC - Crysis - Mediocre game with great graphics.
Wii - Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Have never liked the Super Mario games, so maybe that says something. They're just really.. Ugh, to me.
Multiplat - GTA4 - Can't really think of a massively overrated multiplat, but GTA4 isn't a perfect 10. In many ways, I found it a step down from GTA: SA, but the city was amazing. I'll throw in RDR as well. It's a 9.5 game, but not GotY. ME2 is better dammit! And how did Gamespot think the music in RDR was better than NIER? Blasphemy!
