I haven't actually heard much of FF music but since so many people like it it hasto be overrated. The other 2 I hear so much praise for but it's really bad. Both have some decent songs here and there but it's 90% crap IMO, what do you think?

Halo. One great theme and that's it.AdrianWerner
Yeah.. most of Marty's work is just "alright." I would certainly *not* rank him up there with people like Mitsuda or Soule. Not that his work is bad.. I just don't think it's all that great.

One? While I'll agree it has gone down over the years, there are far more than one good theme in the game.
Final fantasy easily has most overrated and one of the worst music ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5_pyG9C4po lol. what a terrrible soundtrackSNIPER4321
thats well written thats the best laugh it was a good little song, its reminicent of to zanarkand from FFX.

it had a couple good ones but nothing will ever compare to how epic MGS2 was, the dead cell theme, the main theme, the alert song aswell were all just immensely well done.MGS4 to be brutally honest in comparrison to 2 and 3 is pretty unremarkable or memorable.

I agree MGS2 and the best theme and Snake Eater was extremely epic intro, but MGS4 had so many memorable soundtracks.Guns of the Patriots White Blood Metal Gear Saga Love theme Sorrow Old Snake Father & Son to name a few that would go on a "top 100 video game soundtracks of all time" list[QUOTE="Mozelleple112"][QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]

have you listened to the AC:AH cd yet? i have done a little bit, best track so far i think is number 11, its cool how they mixed the theme in.i've not listened to it or thrown it in my iTunes yet as i had pretty much a total and massive catastrophic F up of my library and im slowly reconverting a lot of songs for my iPod.Converting like 3k songs is not fun after i've done that i'll most likely give it a run on my iPod (when i get it later in the week as its my birthday on monday but im not actually all that botheed bout getting it early).

Still :P. saying MGS4 doesn't have memorable soundtracks because previous Metal Gear games had better ones is like saying Lebron James isn't a good basketball player because Michael Jordan was better. No they did not.Mozelleple112Completely disagree. MGS3 had, by far, the best soundtrack in an MGS game, though full marks to the MGS2 theme.
[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]Massive no to that statementA disagree to that disagree. Halo's theme is absolutely wonderful, one of the most notable in a shooter to date, still, but the games entire soundtrack could have been better.Halo. One great theme and that's it.

[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]Massive no to that statement I'll have to agree with that massive no. Besides the theme, I find 'Perilous Journey', 'The Gun Pointed at the Head of the Universe', 'Under Cover of Night', 'Covenant Dance', 'On A Pale Horse' and 'Perchance to Dream' to be utterly fantastic. And that's just from the FIRST game in the series :|Halo. One great theme and that's it.

Still :P. saying MGS4 doesn't have memorable soundtracks because previous Metal Gear games had better ones is like saying Lebron James isn't a good basketball player because Michael Jordan was better.I didn't say older ones had better versions. Stop bringing my feelings towards MGS4 from another thread into this one. It doesn't apply
Also there is a reason not many people mention MGS for the music from any of the games is because it just doesn't have the excellent track after track selection most soundtracks do. Its good and fits the game but its largely very forgettable. Games like SOTC, God of War, FF and Zelda etc. have music mentioned in their reviews because it really sticks with you and is very memorable. The MGS games only have a few good tunes on them and its the main theme that everyone knows. MGS3 was the only other game with a track you remember because it was very cheesy and jame Bond-ish.
Take off your MGS goggles for god's sake. Your Avatar and Sig yet again are like a beacon for your favouritism of the series. A person who truly loves a game and its series are able to point out its flaws too. Not just constantly praise every aspect of it

Perhaps you want to tone down the rage just a little bit? It doesn't seem like he was bringing in your feelings about MGS4 at all. And actually I found the MGS4 soundtrack to be very good. No need to get all rage mode at him, bleh, seems you went overboard.

killzone 2 soundtrack sucks. Gears of war soundtrack sucks. Never see many people praising them. I love fable soundtrack though (at least the original.SOTC. To be honest, I thought the whole game wasn't good.

Killzone 2's soundtrack is another one I found overrated; I heard a lot praise for the soundtrack, but I found it generic and forgettable.
