Valve, Infinity Ward, Insomniac, Nintendo, Epic, id, Blizzard, Bioware, Naughty Dog, Bungie, Crytek (They've only made 2 games, but I think they've earned a top spot in the industry), Polyphony Digital, Capcom, Square-Enix, Retro, Ubisoft Montreal, Rockstar, Kojima Productions.

I think that just about covers it?

Their work ethic, studios, and of coruse products are always top notch.

Remember I'm talking about games and it can be only developers not publishers.

I would have to say Nintendo, Rare, and Epic.

This has been my list of most respected devs since long ago.

Sorry Guys But It seems to me that we all forgot TITUS for a moment.

Nintendo, Capcom (RE4 and Viewtiful Joe were two of my fav games last gen), EA (despite putting out a bunch of lazy games, they do make quite a few good ones), and activision do the most, I think.

Other devs such as Valve and Blizzard do some great work, but they're too slow about it for my tastes.

Ask any development house in the world who they respect, and i promise you two names ALWAYS appear.

Yes Naughty Dog. I loved the Jak and Daxter series. I had a N64 way back instead of PS so i never had the Crash Bandicoot games.

How so? Making the most popular and highly acclaimed MMORPG loses one sum respect? Well, I guess Valve is the crappiest company...I mean the way they out did themselves with Half Life 2? pfft...wat losers!

Just to let me clarify, I respect Blizzard a whole lot. They have only made successful games, and I believe, that apart from WoW, they are all absolutely amazing.

IMO though, WoW is nothing incredible - Blizzard have managed to rally the fans and bring in the cash, but they're not even focusing on making strong, fair, balanced gameplay - it's simply "how to make as much money as possible."

But I'm very much looking forward to StarCraft II.
