TA is one of the most popular RTSes of all time, it was absolutely amazing for it's time in it's scale. What it didn't have was 3 unique factions and extremely balanced multiplayer and an absolutely epic single player campaign.

As for underappreciated, I'd say Beyond Good and Evil would have to be one of my top ones. I'd throw Dreamfall in there as well, both classics, but no one seemed to play them. Maybe Dreamfall will get some more notice as an XBL original, may buy it again just to give it some more support.

I'll take this game over Jak, Ratchet, and Sly. My favorite plat-former from the last generation of consoles.

Meh. I've always preferred the more thought/strategy based gameplay of TA over the twitch/clickfest gameplay of Starcraft (how good of a player you are is measured by actions per minute in the truly hardcore SC circles, for God's sake). And, yes, Krogoth spamming pwnz.

So does getting up enough nuke stockpiles to blanket the entire map :)

Yes, TA lacks charm, but it, IMO, still has soul thanks to its relative uniqueness. And, yes, I DO want a TA total conversion SupCom mod (or, just as good, a mod for TA Spring or the original that puts in strategic zoom). Too bad it's well-nigh impossible to play the game online these days...

I second that. The pushed way more in terms of sheer madness in the combat. Amazing game. All I can see that Starcraft does better is having more character to it.

Easily the most underappreciated. Not only have most people not heard of it,

but fallout fans want to think the first is soo much better

when really, I loved the scond ALOT more.

How many times have I heard "Lol Halo is overrated". The fact people say they're overrated all the time makes them underrated.

They are underappreciated? Halo 'reinvented fps' gets a 30 million dollar ad campaign, and ends up being a huge disappointment, and way overrated and yet that makes it underrated? When a game scores around 10 points higher than it should, sells 4 million more than it should, and has a mountain dew soda drink, then it can't be called underappreciated.
