What do you guys think are some seriosuley under-rated games this gen? Either by reviewer scores or gamers opinions.

Far Cry 2 got so much hate on here but its an all round well reviewed game and I think its great!

The original Motorstorm 7.9 on here isnt high enough for this game, awesome graphics and excellent online gameplay made me play this game a lot!

Syphon Filter 2 - better than the first in every way and scored 3 points less here on GS.
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness - on par with Symphony of the Night in terms of quality and scored in the 6.0 range because it wasn't a Devil May Cry clone.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Wii version) and Soul Calibur Legends. Pretty fun games from my own experiences.

I have some other games as well that fall under this category, but I really just wanna mention those two most of all.

Ugh the hate that FC2 gets is very well deserved, imo. I could expound, at length, but I already have. See Verge6's post on the subject for the definitive reason the game is crap. Heavenly Sword is underrated by the whole industry, not necessarily reviewers, but I know so few people who have actually played it that it's kind of sad. Freedom Fighters last gen, Gamespot is one of the only reviewers who saw the game for what it was. I am still waiting on a sequel for that one. Ratchet and Clank FTOD, by Gamespot in particular. Warhammer Online was a really great MMO, it lived in WoW's shadow but still did a tremendous job in the PvP and level design department. I only stopped playing because everyone else did. It didn't deserve to go to the same MMO grave as Vanguarg, Age of Conan, Star Wars Galaxies, the Matrix Online, etc.

Freedom Fighters is one of the best "little known" games that I've ever played. The squad mechanics in that game were just awesome.

And any time I bring it up, online or off, people always go "oh yeah! that game! that really was awesome!" yet it's basically forgotten in the industry, the same devs made the POS that was Kane & Lynch. I would like to see a sequel provided they don't botch it up. The premise of Russians invading America and the fight happening on your soil was just awesome, factor in the plumber using the sewers as an underground tunnel, more or less, for the resistance movement (bit of a nod to Mario?) and that's pretty damn original.

The idea of this thread? The idea of this thread is not to tell people obscure games that the majority of the population has no clue about.. It's about saying that a game that scored a 6-8 should have scored more/sold more than 200k copies.

If you still really want me to post a game, I guess I'll say Leygref's Castle.

I say Timeshift. It isn't that spectacular but the idea of controlling time in a FPS was great and they implanted it well. Sadly, the uninteresting story and the mediocre graphics didn't save the game. Dunno if there was hype for it when it was released.

To me "underrated" doesn't have to specifically mean a review score it got. It could just mean public perception, or that it's overlooked. Another example of this is Psychonauts, a fantastic game that did very well with critics but sold like Herpes in a Can.

Yeah, but I mean it sold 500k (and is still selling on Steam), there are many games that sell a few thousand or less out there.

For example Amulet's & Armor only sold 100 copies
