Most Under-rated Game of this Gen.

Chromehounds.

This game is still one of the best multiplayer games of this generation, without a doubt. It brings something completely new to the table - teamwork. A simple concept, yes, but it is the game that succeeds most at it. I've played games like Rainbow Six Vegas, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Battlefield 2, and GRAW and none of them compete with Chromehounds for the amount of teamwork necessary to win games. The squad system is awesome, and the ongoing war that you participate in is also very innovative.

Other things worth mentioning is the crazy amount of customization (building any mech from the ground up, making your own emblems, making your own camo...pretty much everything about the mechs is customizable) and the lottery draws that can get you rare items.

i still think the crash bandicoot and spyro series (on the ps1) were under ratted, crash was just amazingly good and spyro revolutionized the collector genre

Based on gamespot reviews i'd have to say any PS3 exclusive....

Flatout: Ultimate Carnage.

Got it on release day and despite the second two classes being a bugger to complete, I have had a lot of fun with it.

Battlestations Midway.

One of the best multiplayer experiences I have had this generation. The single player was very fun as well.

Crackdown and Oblivion. I don't get how people consider Oblivion to be repatative.. -_-Mr_Cumberdale

B/c most of the dungeons are carbon copies or darn close in architecture and in modeling/texturing. Then comes the concept of dynamic leveling which is horrible to have in a RPG like Oblivion. Everything scaled to your level means you never run into anything you shouldn't be able to handle, or anything thats overly more powerful than that which you already own.

Personally, I'd say Enchanted Arms. I got it based on a friend's recommendation (and its really strange that he recommended an RPG and not a shooter...) and I'm actually really enjoying it. I'm not usually into JRPGs and the like, but I'm enjoying this one for some reason.

When I was younger (ie not working, not married, not doing house work etc.) I would have agreed. I had more time to play friends locally back then. Nowadays, I would say AAAA is overrating it b/c the game really needs that kind of interaction to get everything your supposed to from it (and it's lack luster online doesn't come close enough).

No More Heroes. Those who don't read only gamespot.com for reviews know this game got mixed reviews. It's the most fun I've had with any game this gen so far.

SSX Blur is a lot fun once you get the hang of it, but I think it deserved the score it got.

Aside from the service lacking voice chat, match making, and well standards of online gaming. I would most definitly call it lack luster.

Personally I think online for fighting games is just stupid and pointless. Yes it's better then playing alone, but anything is. I mean playing online your still in a dark room by yourself staring at the TV. There's nothing real social about it and completely destroys the genres purpose. This is why I have weekly Fighting LAN parties where Brawl, Accent Core, and KoF XII are usually played.

It's a little weird that I say this, but I think ONE of the most overlooked games of this gen is BioShock. That game should still be talked about. It was so unique, and the story was so beautifully pieced together - it was a work of art. Instead games like CoD4 resonate in peoples minds, it's really disappointing.NAPK1NS

normally i would have said stalker, but seeing so many people really like this game, i would choose NWN 2: Mask of the Betrayer. I see a lot of talk about ME and Witcher, but motb was a very good in its own right. Excellent writing and storytelling, great setting, great gameplay etc and lots of attention to small details. It was obsidian's best work by farnaval

well most of the gameplay mechanics in nwn2 are pretty much the same as the those found in nwn + expansions.

nwn 2 while good in some areas has quite a few flaws and i would personally put nwn2 on the same level as nwn 1 but worse than the two expansions. nwn2 : motb on the other hand is the best of the bunch
