It's hard to understand how they went from offroad racing to apocalyptic scenarios...

Oh well, it does look fun.

Going on Mars with the massive mountains and canyons that dwarf ours on Earth? I can see it.

Ive seen enough of the game to know that it's a day 1 purchase for me. Pacific Rift was really addictive and with the added features seen in Apocalypse it may just end up being my favourite arcade racer.

I remember playing the first Motorstorm game when it came out with the PS3. I was expecting it to be a free roam game but sadly it was all closed course racing for the most part. If they gave the game a free roam option I have no doubt it would attract more people. At least I think so.

Motorstorm takes the xtreme racing stereotype and shoots it full of steroids. The first game was in rough desert terrain. The second on a Pacific jungle island complete with lava flows, etc. The third was a PSP/PS2 game set in the Arctic with avalanches and such. When you think about it, there isn't much else for them to do. So does it get any more extreme than running a race through a city during an active earthquake? lol

Pacific Rift offline was far better than the first Motorstorm. Online wasn't as good to me because of all the exploits. People used the slam boost feature, glitches in the tracks, flaws in the respawn mechanism, and flaws in the track design to gain advantages all the time. It just ceased to be fun after a while of dealing with that. I hope this is designed in a way that limits the expoits and gets back to the brutal racing.

So if this is the game that puts "r" back in racers then all other racing games recently were "aces"?

That was the problem with both Motorstorm games if they can keep that in check it will be a good game.

I want a demo released, because the game looks way more fun than the previous Motorstorm games.
