1. It's hyped AA. 2. This is GameSpot and only GameSpot reviews determine a "flop". 3. 8.9 is an awesome score for this game; PS3 owners should be happy. 4. You fail.
:roll: Ah System Wars........................ Chances are the Sony fans will be enjoying a great game, while the people that simply won't take a second look at it because it got less then a 9.0 will miss it, because of a very stupid reason.
I think cows just have learned to settle for less at this point. Any score above an 8.0 for a PS3 game is major triumph. It must suck to be a PS3 owner and very embarrassing to admit it.
ok first of i could care less about this game, but there were alot of cows who backed up there AAA statement for this game. befor VF5 flopped cows were going on and on about this game being AAA. also cows were all on sonic and the secret rigns for being A when it was hyped High A to low AA. so if the sheeps get bashed the cows should get bashed to. alls fair. the only reason this game was bought down to AA hype was because cows got scared of being bashed again after VF5 flopped.

I didn't like the demo for this game very much (sense of speed is lame), but it appears to be faring damn well with reviewers, so it may give cows something to boast about.

GS will probably review Motorstorm in a month. They still have not reviewed MLB 2k7 even though I'm sure they've had complete copies for more than 2 weeks now and they've hyped it non-stop. I bet 2k paid GS off and asked for them to hold the review for a day or two since it will more than likely score under an 8. Oh well, here's to hoping MotorStorm gets at least an 8.5 here @ GS.

It had the hype before we learned abou the contents/feature sets. That is why we have a new system in place for hype when we actually learn about the games that look "cool" in the beginning.
considering 8.9 is a borderline score, its very possible that this website will give it AAA, or not. But regardless, by itself 8.9 is definetly a good score.

now a days, any score under 9 is a flop on any game no matter the hype. Like yesterday, bullet witch "flopped" with a 5.5... and someone remind me again who hyped that game? there's no arguing with fanboy logic, cow, lemming or sheep, they just won't listen.
Wow that was actually higher than i epected. I was thinking 8 or a little more, just because of the no split screen, and lack of variety in the game, but 8.9 is nice. I'm definitely pickin this game up.
I just read the review for it, and it was just great, the only thing that brought it down were some gameplay options and some pixelated shadow effects, whcih I really don't care about, the rest, they said, is an incredible racing experience.

Hype aside what do u think about the 8.9 score?
Hype aside it's obviously a great score. I have actually played the game and think it is quite fun and would definately buy it if I had a ps3. I only have 2 (somewhat) negative comments and the first can be related to the 360 as well. The graphics weren't quite as smooth as I was expecting though overall the game is pretty good looking (I don't know what it is about next gen games but there is something not completely flowing about the graphics) and secondly, it is tough to see where you are going sometimes in the game.  Has good controls and a suprising sense of speed.Â
I would honestly give this game a 9 just from the demo I played. I just hope the online portion functions properly.
wait....what? 8.9 is a GREAT score! Thats far better of a score than i would give it or i thought it would get. It may have been hyped AAA by a few people but i think its a lil odd to say it flopped. So far it stands to reason that motorstorm is a great game.......so in 3-4 years when sony is forced to drop the price of their so called "gaming" machine i can have a "greatest hits" 20 dollar title to pick up with my $200 slimline ps3!
