honestly, netflix will not have any influence on my decision.i just canceled my netflix a couple days ago. the watch instanlty on my pc was nice for a while until i realized i had seen 99% of the movies already, but what really got me was the long waits for new movies delivered to my door. example, hangover and terminator salvation were still on a wait list 2 days ago right up till after i canceled. this is why i want to try out a console, so i can watch all the new movies right when there released.badoutahell
well I am a fan of netflix...but the problem with new releases on the consoles is for about 2 weeks after release ur only able to buy in standard definition....after some time is passed ur then able to rent in HD and on the 360 stream in HD

does there need to be fanboyism in this thread? I was giving my opinion based on owning both consoles and for downloadable movies 360 is better IMO

Both have Netflix streaming at this point, the primary difference being that you have to get a disc to use it on the PS3 using BD Live and on 360 you have to have a Gold membership for it to work. As far as straight movie stores go, I know Sony has direct partnerships with several networks and movie studios that have specific channels on their movie store. The TV shows I've downloaded has been great quality and the store is easy to use. I haven't used Netflix on it yet, but a former roommate of mine was using it and says it works great. Netflix on the 360 is integrated as an application rather than disc-based.
I can't really say too much about the 360's movie service (seeing as I haven't used it), but I'm sure it's good as well. The 360 has had Netflix as an added advantage for a while now, but that's no longer the case.
Between the 2 consoles, I'd say the PS3 just because of the added advantage of Blu-Ray. Keep in mind though, this is only going to matter if you have an HDTV. If you don't, they're pretty much on par and it comes down to if you plan on gaming on either and, if so, what system's games your want more.

Of course it does, Netflix doesn't give a crap about the console war. Anyway, definitely 360, for all the reasons people have listed.lol... he knows why..:P[QUOTE="wolverine4262"][QUOTE="chikenfriedrice"]

Because like the TC demostrated above, he had no clue about the little fee ... I was informing him, like I already said ... sheesh.
maybe i am not understanding netflix on consoles. do they let you stream movies that are not avalible for pc? example for what ever price would a person be able to download or stream a new release like say the hangover? or is there play instantly service the same on all platforms? honestly guys i have searched the web hard to find my answers and cant. all i can come up with is 360 has a deeper, bigger library but ps3 covers the new releases a little better. does this sound correct?badoutahell
It's the same as the instant watch on ur PC...only those movies are available to watch instantly on both consoles

You brought up Netflix as being the better version between the 360/PS3 ... which it is, but he deserves to know that you need to pay 49.99 a year for that better version.
So yes it was well done on my part to inform the TC.
