MS asking for $70.00 for a 3 hour campaign (MW3)

It just keeps getting worse for MS. Asking players to shell out 70 for a glorified DLC.

So let me get this straight. This game sells more on PS, makes the most money from microtransactions on PS, Sony pays for exclusive skins, betas, etc for this game, and Sony fought tooth and nail over this ABK purchase, but somehow MS is to blame.

Xbox peeps love to bragging about Activision's IP how they are MS first party now. COD is MS's IP now. So, yes, it is MS to blame. So, why not bragging about that too. :/

@loudheadphones: Except this game was already done before the ABK deal closed. MS wasn’t involved in the creation of this. Next year they will be, and if that’s trash, that’s on MS.

I've bought almost every single COD since COD 3 back in '06.

I'm enjoying the 'next-gen' experience of playing this game at a locked 4K/120 at max settings (I get 150fps unlocked) which is cool not to mention my first kb/m COD since MW2 back in 2009. But the campaign is ass.

Dreamcast looks like a guy who's crimes we are waiting to be outed.

I saw doc trying to play it, and wasn't able to play it at all. THIS IS WHAT MICROSOFT HAS PURCHASED ROFL! These companies deserve to be devoured on the social medial. Completely demolished.

Call of Duty campaigns have always been super short, this is why I never buy them until they are cheap. I only play the single player campaign

I’m really enjoying watching both factions blame each other for COD. A week from now it will be the best selling game of 2023 and both factions will then be fighting over it. I’m gonna make sure I have extra popcorn ready for the next few weeks

I am actually curious about the sales for this year. With this many massive content creators exiting the free cod marketing for activision, the addition of dumbass skins that they've been adding, which made even the casuals complain about their immersion, then the new Warzone map seems pathetic from what i've heard, and now the campaign getting 4-5/10 all over the place and all we hear is "they're charging us $70 for a dlc". This is not good. Warzone saved cod from a downward spiral, but now they don't have anything to save the day, and the big cod streamers not marketing the game to casuals is not gonna be pretty.

Yeah it's a good thing Microsoft will not release COD every year starting 2025. Also next year the Switch 2 will get the better COD, because it's a Mulitplat for the next 10 years! 😉

Single-player COD has always been short. No surprises really. COD is intended for multi-player.

It is absolutely nothing to brag about. I never thought this (now) mediocre ass ultra-casual franchise would be worth trying to control for 70 billion dollars, but, here we are. I still don't know what the endgame is with this acquisition so far. Will they one day rip it away from rival consoles? I guess. Does taking on ABK make the Xbox revenue reports look better? That too, maybe. But in the meantime, they're still paying Sony a HUGE chunk of money to put it on PS consoles, and the needle still won't move for at least a decade for Xbox

This will become the standard once it comes to GamePass. MS will not invest that much time and resources into making the campaign good.

But wasn't this game developed before the merger? Who's to say Microsoft won't suggest a more focused campaign?

Well it seems my days of not buying a COD game has certainly reached a middle.

If they wanted to purchase a micro-transaction juggernaught they could have bought Hoyoverse. Would have seen a return on their investment quicker.

It'll take MS 2 - 3 years to put Activision/Blizzard in order. Massive changes needs to be made across the board. Starting with Bobby Kotick leaving by the end of the year and reorganising internal studios.

They're still sorting out Zenimax.

I remember it it was around 6 hours short. With normal playthrough . This one is 3 hours short with NORMAL playthrough

And yet PlayStation users bought it, knowing full well that the campaign is three hours long and that Microsoft gets the lion’s share of the profits. Like others have stated, it’s going to be pretty freaking hilarious in a couple weeks when the multiplayer’s out and the game has sold a crap ton on Sony’s magic box, only for the same goofballs laughing in this topic to brag about it selling more on PlayStation. 😂
