@loudheadphones: You do realize that Microsoft had nothing to do with the development of this game right? 😐
He is too dim to comprehend the basics.😂
Man, this Activision acquisition really scrambled people's brains... We are now raging over the call of duty campaign that Microsoft didn't develop for being too short... And it's Microsofts fault, correct? I have only one thing to say in this thread..... Starfield!!!
Cows are so desperate. The moment MS signs the contract "MS developed the game".
It'll take MS 2 - 3 years to put Activision/Blizzard in order. Massive changes needs to be made across the board. Starting with Bobby Kotick leaving by the end of the year and reorganising internal studios.
They're still sorting out Zenimax.
What's the difference? They own it now. This is what they signed up for. Xbros didn't keep this same energy when they were claiming success for games like HI-Fi Rush in MS's name 🤣
I think the Xboxers on here are missing the relevant point, as they normally do, to defend their beloved Microsoft and Uncle Phil. It is not about the current games but the strange purchases they have made.
Microsoft has spent tens of billions of dollars on two companies whose best days are beyond them - creatively speaking. Bethesda have been making games with diminishing returns since Skyrim and are on the same level as Ubisoft creatively, and maybe even below Ubisoft. And COD is just a pay-to-win game that charges you $70 as well.
I think it was Asmigold who pointed out if it wasn't an Xbox console exclusive then most of the Xboxers defending it would not be defending it. Starfield is the very definition of a mediocre, will this do game. And Microsoft have bought a company that makes mediocre, will this do games. Of course the truth is that MS have bought these companies out of the greed from the micro-transactions they now own from the two companies. It has nothing to do with making good games.
For me I have zero interest in COD and Bethesda games are as poor as Assassin Creed games now. I have no interest in either.

The thread title isn't saying "a MS ip is releasing in bad condition" or whatever. It's saying "MS did this".
And per the multiplatform agreement, MS would have been unable to even stop the release.
What is your point? This franchise has been on cruise control for years, it's just there. Not pushing itself in any way, It is the most taken for granted game series of all time, and people know this. And MS thought it was worth 70 billion for some reason... and it's not even exclusive! There is nothing to celebrate. XBros watched this acquisition more than they played games and CoD is as flavorless as ever 🙄
Imagine thinking that Microsoft purchased Activision/Blizzard/King simply for Call of Duty. Some folks just can’t be helped. 🤦♂️😅
I get that it's SW and it's a low bar, but even this is removing the barrel and digging into the ground beneath it.
What makes this thread even worse is that CoD has always been $70 before MS bought Activision.
Thread title is trash.
Your paying for MP, Zombies, and the SP.
Granted the SP campaign is shite, but still.. the thread title is wrong
Dreamcast looks like a guy who's crimes we are waiting to be outed.
COD sucks, everyone who buys it deserves to be scammed. Try not being dumb. LoZers.
Yeah I've been waiting for the day that guy gets put away.
Xbox fandom love to eat MS shit
PS fandom be eating up that shit as well. nom nom nom "give me more, master".
@BenjaminBanklin: It always has been since the original mw2. Point is that 2 weeks after the ABK deal closed mw3 is suddenly proof that MS designed COD SP campaigns from day one - according to nearly every hardcore Cow, and going by online petitions and fanboys on “X” nobody who owns a ps5 would buy mw3. The sales figures suggest nothing has changed; people will buy COD for the MP and the SP will suck.
Not even you think ms paid 70bn for COD alone. No one seriously thinks this.

Not like Xbox fandom. It is their game now.
Every time I look at this thread title I can help but to see how manipulative it is... Lol.... As if the entire package being offered is a 3 hour game that Microsoft made and is charging 70 bucks. 😂. This has been a tough year for some haters. It comes and goes in waves.

Every time you buy CoD, every penny goes to MS. hahahahahahahahaha
I mean, usually stories are bad because they try to make them too long and they get watered down. Somehow they couldn't come up with a compelling story arc for a 3 hour adventure?
Make it make sense.
For the first time in years, I wonder can a CoD game dethrone Harry Potter for the best selling 2023 game. CoD used to rule the best selling list but I feel this year gonna be a horrible year for it as so many great games releases vs this latest game disappointment. Also surprising even with the backlash Harry Potter Hogwarts game is still the best selling game of the year in US.
The reviews for this game are ridiculous. I played on veteran and got every campaign trophy. Sure it isn't a sprawling epic masterpiece, but 98 percent of people aren't buying CoD for its amazing single player content, and an equal percentage of the people talking shit are never even going to play the campaign.
It's a solid 7 to 8 not a 3,4, or 5 like so many people are giving it. The scores are low because they don't like the way they marketed the game and shady business practices... still you can't blame the devs for shitty mistakes the suits at the top make. With the time they were given they actually killed it in my opinion. I enjoyed this campaign more than MW2 and yes they are pretty similar in length to beat, but that game didn't take this kind of flak.
Getting all the trophies takes 8 to 10 hours which puts it right in line with the last 3 campaigns they released.
I also like that they released the campaign a week early for the 2nd game in a row. My online buddies, my kids, and I all played through the campaign and are waiting for mp. Who knows if we would have even played the campaign if it didn't release early.. like I said before, the vast majority aren't buying yearly CoD games to just play the campaign.. that's an added bonus. Add in the fact this game has everything carrying over starting with 130 weapons and 16 day one maps with 23 over the first season and a full fledged zombie mode with separate leveling and mastery with over 1,500 camos with at least 14 levels of mastery and this games value is definitely there (I could list many other things including an insane roadmap). People are overreacting to look edgy and cool, but they are just following the crowd of influencers, which is sad.
In my opinion after maxing out my level on the mp beta I can easily say that this game could bring back CoD mp in a big way, which is a big thing since most mp shooters over the past few years have sucked, and we needed a good competitive game.
Now MS just need to follow through on the leaked emails of lowering or removing SBMM and we're in business. Supposedly MS is doing that, but ill believe it when I see it. If they do then I'm actually glad Xbox acquired them, but it seems to good to be true.
@lundy86_4: While technically true that you can't open the MW3 campaign without opening the MW2 launcher (since that's still what it's called) CoD is actually using a hud of sorts that you can launch any game from the family of recently released games.
It doesn't launch MW2, it launches the home screen where you can choose Warzone, DMZ, MW2 multiplayer, MW2 campaign, or the MW3 campaign.
I would imagine that after the release of MW3 they will change the name of the thumbnail from MW2 to CoD HQ or HUB or something like that.
It's been a hard few years for cows, they lose all the zenimax studios games, and the best selling and most popular games on their beloved PlayStation are xbox studio's COD and Minecraft, plus they had to endure the embarrassment of losing the ABK deal they thought they had stopped.
I am not asking you to stop laughing at sony shlong slurpers, but if you could please spare a thought for them, its been hard times and they are..
RAGING 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤡
In 3-6 months MS will have a “COD Day” where they’ll drop every COD except MW3 on Game Pass and all hell will break loose in the gaming industry. Cows will claim “Helldivers is better anyways” with a player base the size of Redfall. The amount of coping and seething when this happens is gonna be a rare sight to behold.
Those are tears... of laughter. I am literally laughing at you.
All have "This is DLC" length campaigns. While wrong, this is nothing new. MS just bought Activision, and has nothing to do with MWIII.
So yeah - tears... of laughter... at you. TROLL.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's bumpy pacing and abrupt ending make Makarov's big return a disappointment, dragging it down as the weakest entry of an otherwise strong reboot series.

Well Hi-Fi Rush was being developed under Xbox Game Studios for a couple years and Xbox contributed to the development with Tango. This acquisition of Activision just happened. In two years, I am sure Xbox Game Studios will have contributed to the 2025 release of COD.
