[QUOTE="bluebrad1974"][QUOTE="-Spock-"][QUOTE="fcjklosn"]Not just yet it hasn't. Give the PS3 another 5 - 6 months and then we'll see if it has truly "failed" or not.SergeantSnitch
Hell no. Give it even more time than that. The PS2 didn't even fully take off until Christmas 2001 - over a year after its initial Japanese debut. This is because we had to wait for the heavy hitters to arrive like Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy. You know, the franchises exclusive to PS3 which are truly worth the $500-600 asking price?
While all of these Sony fanboys are sitting around waiting on the PS3 to get it's head out of it's ***, 360's are flying off the shelves at a steady pace. While all of these 360 fanboys are sitting here claiming ownage, biggest blockbuster titles like MGS4, DMC4, Socom 4, GT5, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, etc. are being made. The same can be said for the 360, except they aren't as big of games with the exception of Halo 3.Yea, the PS3 definitely has the bigger year. The 360 has a few good titles to look forward to this year too. Just not as many. In addition to the ones you named, the PS3 is also getting Rachet & Clank, Killzone 2, Warhawk, Lair, White Knight Story, & Eight Days all this year.
With that kind of variety of games, the PS3 will definitely be moving more units. But I think the thing which will really cause the PS3 to start outselling the 360 is when the price drops and more people have hdtv's in their homes. The PS3 never has to be cheaper than the 360 (just look at PS2 & xbox vs. the gamecube), it just has to be more affordable for the masses that want it.
