After th eweek past, since the launch of Halo 3, the worldwide 360 sales have douubled WORLDWIDE! The total sales have reached $300 million!

Even with all the critisms from the hates combined can't spin this negatively!

It's really not saying much at all. Halo 3 is the most hyped/advertised game in recent history, and Xbox360 sales weren't exactly hot in the time leading up tothe Halo 3 release. There was a lot of room to climb. It's still too early to tell however. It'll be interesting to see how far Halo 3 and Xbox 360 sales drop in the next few weeks. With record sales comes record dropoffs.

It Holiday time. It won't drop off at this point until at least Febuary.

What are the worldwide weekly sales of the 360 though? About 200,000 maybe? So Halo sold 200,000 more 360's worldwide? Doesn't seem like that big a deal. If they maintain that sales rate from now on = impressive. A one week spike is not impressive at all, and we normally wouldn't even know about it as no-one really reports weekly sales.actionquake

400,000 Wii's in a month in the U.S. is impressive, but the same amount in a weekisn't? Even if it was worldwide? That is over 1.6 million consoles in a month, assuming that it keeps up that long.

I agree. halo 3 is a good game but unless ur a big fan of the series its nothing really impressive. Ive played it a couple of times and it wasnt like"damn i need to get me a 360!" Not at all. MS does a great job at marketing this game. I remember when Halo 2 came out and was like "wow MS has done alot of great marketing for this game" But the game is way overrated and WAY over hyped.

No, but maybe the huge fanbase that actually plays the game 24/7, the very high review scores, and critical acclaim it gets does make it a good game. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't good. Unless, of course, by your logic that makes God of War a bad game, simply because I didn't like it.

It's a videogame, and it's not even a videogame that is original. The only thing Halo 3 has dawned is a new era of big videogame marketing campaigns, since that's obviously what sells copies.
