Would like to know what Knucklehead thought it be a good idea to release Rise of Tomb Raider on the same day of Fallout 4?

Tell me this Cows? If Tomb Raider wasn't a timed exclusive and Uncharted 4 launched in the same month would you have bought it over Uncharted?

Considering the game is getting good reviews it is a bit unfortunate that the sales aren't there.

But it doesn't detract from what a customer can enjoy. In this place some gaming customers are butthurt, toxic people. They celebrate this and act like they have a legitimate stake in doing so. I have owned MSFT for years and purchased more over 3 months ago at 41.15 per share. Now they gave out Windows 10 for free, Halo 5 "flopped" in sales, Rise of the TR "flopped" sales but my MSFT closed at 54.13 today. My SNE shares have not faired as well, even with this monster the PS4.

@flyincloud1116: ya, just like Sunset Overdrive all over again. Great game, but bad timing equals to low sales and bad press results. Personally, I think Rise of the Tomb Raider and Sunset Overdrive are better than most of the exclusives available on PS4 or Wii U.

How can it do well when the gamers have chosen the PS4 as their console of choice for 8th gen? It simply couldn't do well because the game isn't on ps4.

Game is decent, but FO 4 certainly killed it's sales.

yeah it's 28% more powerful GPU.

FO 4 has more bugs than any X1 exclusive combined.

28% gpu+gdrr5=at least 40% more powerful and it shows. The difference is so big that the choice between the two systems is simple.

The deal between CD, SE and MS was the major factor why ROTR bombed in sales. The first moment since exclusivity announcement at Gamescom, everybody predicted that they sent ROTR out to die. Every damn card played on this deal went wrong for ROTR.

I know I'm being Captain Obvious, but it was lousy timing, exclusivity deal or not. But what do they do? Wait a week, a month to release it. Fallout 4, at least for me, will be something I play for months. I'd have no problem plunking down money for the game, but its just a matter of personal time for me. I know I'd get it, and it would just sit in the shrink wrap until I got around to it.

The ironic thing though given the install base of the Xbox One vs. the 360 at the time of release for the first game, Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One is selling at nearly five times the frequency of the first game.

No one seems to mention that.... Adoption rates are just as important as overall sales and speak to a larger ending volume.

Bottomline, Halo is a good game, Online is great and never a shortage of people online playing and that's all I care about but you can keep checking those NPD numbers and Amazon sales and keep crunching those numbers, I rather ACTUALLY play the games on the consoles I have LOL......Happy holidays LOL.

This is where you fail. Digital only makes up at best 15- 20% like most games. The bundles were limited to Best Buy so even if you did include them they still would be terrible because they sold like crap there. The majority of sales were reflected on NPD and the Eurochart track data. You're a fool if you think that bundles and digital sales will make the numbers double or triple.

I bought my Halo console bundle from Gamestop for what are you even talking about it was limited to Best Buy lol. Only fail in here is you and your comments. A friend of mine said he heard/read/whatever that they're releasing the PC version so early as to what was suppose to happen b/c of the low X1 sales.

Dunno if it's true or not and not that it really matters....sales looks like they aren't that great on X1 regardless.

You will find posts who wrote the numbers and someone who has access to NPD data.

Huge decline in sales compared to Halo 3, 4 and Reach.

Same shit in UK. 150k in launch week. Halo 3 alone with smaller install base did 370k in launch week in UK. Halo 5 barely passed 200k mark after 3 weeks in UK. Oh, digital sales excuse...LOL. That MS's 400$ mil. PR.

Maybe at Dec. 22 on MS Holiday Sale at Xbox Store ROTR and H5 will see some push in sales.
