Especially with the economy... there for awhile $399 for a PS3 felt "cheap". Now it feels like anything but. :? And the $499 Uncharted bundle? Forget about it.

I don't think thats why it will win the holiday ....Holiday is time for parents to buy, and they dont' know anything ....Their kid wants a console and the arcades the cheapest so they end up getting them that.....Even tho a xbox without a harddrive = Fail

so they end up with a heart broken kid.....Or 150 more for a harddrive

Or get a 20gb for $30, or go on amazon and get a 120gb for $100 or a $60 gb for like $50. I'm shocked that people so up on technology that they'll drop crazy money on consoles and video games but they're so afraid of technology that they refuse to buy anything used because they think that 100% of used things are broken... despite Ebay's growth (if it was a den of ripoffs and bad buys they woulda gone outta business years ago) and tons of retail sites now selling used versions on the same page as new (Amazon and Barnes & Nobles are two that come to mind instantly.

I've purchased like 50 things used in my life over the net. None of it was broken. Meanwhile, a retail store like Gamespot has sold me a broken game, a broken gamecube and a broken original xbox... twice... back to back.

LOL it's hard to say how they did worldwide last year but overall PS3 outsold 360 throughout the year last year. Same will happen this year.

If he said this two months ago, I would have laughed... but after the price drop? The 360 has it on lock. Heck, if price was the only factor for buying video game consoles, it could potentially outsell the Wii this Christmas!

I agree and I think the main reason the Wii outsold the competition is because of the price. Things have change this holiday, the Wii isn't the cheapest anymore, so we'll see how that goes.

MS will sell more this holiday...Given the current price point and game selection....MS has the upper hand on Sony..

Will it sell more in Japan?...I don't know about that...my guess is no...."IF" it did all the cows would suicide there account..
