If you build a PC that is more powerful than the Xbox Series X does that make you a better hardware designer than the people working at MS? If so any amateur with a big enough wallet is a master engineer.

only the ps4 was that loud = ever single sony machine will be loud forever. every report about over heating issues was just utubers guessing. there was few dev kits that over heated but again that is a dev kit not the final design. but they use every thing they can find to hate on the ps5.

still it was there show to show. there the ones who hyped the gameplay part not third party. sony showed third party as well. sony put together a presentation while xbox had a guy behind a computer.

I hope they have a good show in july. i want a reason to buy a xbox. this is the first gen i had only one console. fable please fable comeback to us.

@gifford38: apparently the amnesia kicked in for that Microsoft 3rd games gameplay reveal for some people.

I wish I had it myself because I wasted over an hour of my life watching it for gameplay to see like 13 seconds of gameplay.

I mean MS people do have access to some custom stuff and can buy in bulk and not for retail price obviously.

This thread is just stupid. None of us on this forum have enough knowledge to judge the various hardware teams. We have know idea of the constraint they work under and we don’t really know what the output will be either. So this is just a dumb discussion.

Ridiculous the PS5 is so big and ugly and not even more powerful. I honestly think Sony meant for the PS5 to be clocked at 9 tflops and they truly thought MS was going to come in close to that and have a cheap costing console, but MS fooled them then Sony desperately tried to boost the shit out of the PS5, then in turn had all the heating issues and now we have the George Foreman Grill 5.

People should pay attention more MS said all along the first show last moth was for 3rd party. Next month in July is going to be a blowout of all their first party coming over the next few years. There is a credible rumor right not that MS is going to have some serious Mic Drops next month and also announcing possibly the XSX will be $400 and the XSS $200. If this turns out to be true expect Sony to be in Def-com 5 Red Alert at Sony headquarters this would be a massive blow to Sony. MS can afford to do this also because they are more concerned about adding millions of new Live and Game Pass subscribers.

I did pay attention microsoft they told me there was going to be a lot of gameplay from third party. they did not deliver that. so the 360 was 200 dollars cheaper than the ps3 and came out one year earlier and sony still won in the end.

plus the series s will be almost twice as weak as the series x. so for a little more for the digital ps5 version you get the same power as the disc version. why buy a 200 console that is not next gen specs of the series x or the ps5?

god i feel for xbox first party making there games run on 4 different spec systems 2 of them having a hdd.

If you missed the gameplay on the ms 3rd party showing, I dont know what you were looking at....Neither sony's 3rd + 1st party games nor ms's 3rd party showed too much gameplay, but it was there.

I haven't been following the next-gen news much, but I would imagine Sony want to address the cooling/noise issues since that's one of the few weak areas of the PS4. As you folks pointed out the design they've gone with seems to suggest this shouldn't be much of a problem this time around.
