KOTOR did not have the hype Mass Effect does, and the original Xbox's software sales weren't nearly as strong. Mass Effect will sell 3 million easy.

Threads on gaming forums hyping mass effect make up a tiny hardcore gamer population that probably is .0001% of the gaming population as a whole. You ask a casual about ME, they will say, "Halo!". Welcome to the real world. Where Madden will always outsell other great games. KOTOR soldone million with a 25 million userbase, what makes you think ME will do better with a 10-15 mil base? It's litteraly the same type of game 0_o.

Miscorsoft has lots of money. They are trying to buy customers, and it's kinda working. Look a tHalo 3. A quite good fps gets turned into this marketing tsunami. It's like it isn't even about the game anymore.

As for buying exclsuves, it's not good for gamers.

All this spending that M$ is doing now could be the companies down fall as a whole. This has happened many times in the US already.

Some of these companies are now owned by forgien corparations or just are no longer in business.

Look at the Harley Davidson motorcycle (it was forced out of business years ago, by the Honda motorcycle company). Now it is owned by a forgein company (I think it's now owned by AMF).

There is a number of other companies that have faced the same thing (some within the past year or two).

At one time these companies were as big or bigger than M$, and yet they went belly up.

No the PS3 is not selling as good as 360 cosintly from week to week the 360 has been selling more systems then PS3 not in japan but everywhere else. Speaking of japan PS3 numbers ar abysmal there also. But the real truth is 360 from a week to week basis has been selling more units then PS3. So stop with this mis information.
