Damnit man, you said:
I mean, if I were Phil Spencer, and I needed a talk piece for my product for free advertisement, that's definitely the site to call on.
So why did Microsoft select Digital Foundry instead of Polygon to talk about the Xbox One X the first time? You said that if Microsoft wanted someone to talk about a product for free advertisement that is the site they would call on. I just proved you wrong and they didn't and used Digital Foundry to release Xbox One X hardware stats.
So please STFU, I am done with you. Don't you have a tin foil hat to make or something?
Why the hell would they go to Polygon to talk about the specs of the Xbox One X? They're not a tech site or even a site that compares game performance. Man, you're a weirdo. I talk about Polygon's notorious Microsoft connection, and you bring up DF and the Xbox One X. Two things that didn't even really have shit to do with each other.
Hey again you said, not me:
I mean, if I were Phil Spencer, and I needed a talk piece for my product for free advertisement, that's definitely the site to call on.
Microsoft didn't, I was just discrediting your bullshit. You said if you were Phil you would use Polygon, well there last big announcement they didn't which means maybe they are not tied to Polygon as you claim. Again Alex Jones level bullshit.
So you use a complete non-sequitur to try to discount what I said to try to disprove something that I had actually backed up? DF showing off Xbox One X capability and Polygon saying they heard a rumor from "some dude who's like TOTALLY close to Microsoft" aren't in the same ballpark. But, since the heat's cooled off from X1X, what else to put the spotlight on Microsoft again but to announce "acquisition talks" in a random line from an editorial about MS needing exclusives from an unquantifiable source.
No other site has heard, or can confirm such talks. It's only Polygon, a confirmed pro-MS outlet that was bankrolled by the company itself that's even putting this info out there. And it's spreading like wildfire, giving hope to a distraught Xbox community who's watched every attempt by MS to regain ground in the console market burn up before their eyes. Putting out rumors that MS will buy a major publisher will sell consoles even better than putting out a stronger version of the same system. Because people will pick up a box if they start believing exclusives will disappear from PS4 only to appear on Xbox. Doesn't matter if it pans out to be true or not.
Believe whatever you want to believe, I am not the one that spouted off with the shit you did and now trying to back out of it. STFU already! You fucking said if I were Phil Spencer I would use Polygon for a talking piece for my product for free advertisement because Polygon is soooooo pro Microsoft. Well funny part is Microsoft has never used Polygon for any announcement. I proved that shit you said was idiotic and lame. So go wear your tin foil hat buddy, it fits you well!
What the **** am I trying to back out of you weasel? The point I'm trying to make is that MS isn't beyond using Polygon as a propaganda rag. No major "neutral" website has written as many "what Xbox can do to combat Sony" pieces as Polygon has. I doubt MS would help a gaming website get off the ground with nearly a million dollars and not expect get their dicks sucked in return.
Yes, Digital Foundry has accepted Microsoft's money for doing a spotlight on Xbox One X (a video they've since delisted BTW), but they're still a neutral platform that will tell their viewers when the console doesn't measure up. Polygon on the other hand is just plain cronyism. The circumstances are different, and you hastily came up with a dumb ass comparison that didn't even fit the convo. DF is not founded on MS money, nor is it populated by shameless Xbox fanboy editors, it's tech analysis.
BTW you thinking this has any truth is laughable buddy. You are just a pathetic fanboy. No one would buy a Xbox because of a rumor that Microsoft is buying EA. Give me a damn break man! My god the false narratives you fanboys create in your damn heads is just laughable!
If enough people get fooled into thinking the only place they can play an NFL football game, FIFA, Battlefront and Battlefield in the future is on Xbox, of course they'll jump on it. Oh, I forget, you're an Xbox gamer. Of course you ignore the fact that exclusives sell consoles.
