MS July NPD: Top selling console again (link)

Hopefully, the huge succes of MS can contribute to a little economy revitalization. It's getting rather tiresome to have US crash the world economy every 2 months :P

Yeah... That's not really funny.

On topic: It's beyond me why it keeps selling like that.

Can anyone disect this quote by Sony. Where are the numbers? Why are they talking about Move sales? This seems really odd to me.

Gears is a AAA series , uncharted is not guess Gears is better then yup I agree and Gears has sold millions more guess most gamers know which is the better series.

No "WE" don't go by exclusives here :roll: were do you get your information from. There is a spreadsheets that shows who's winning in exclusives , doens't mean that other games games don't exist dude.

I think the masses prefer Gears 3 and Forza 4 over all the PS3 exclusives this year combined. What would your response be to that?

Call of Duty is mediocre (according to everybody here), and that sells a **** more than 10 "high quality" games.

And I take it those 10 mediocre games are the 7.5-9 rated PS3 exclusives?

That's exactly what I'm saying. Why go for chuck steak (KZ 3, resistance 3,) when you can get filet mignon (Call of Duty and Halo Reach). Just my opinion though.

But the 360 does have games , does it hurt your feelings that it keeps outselling the PS3.

It's not outselling it worldwide, though...

For the record, in the first 6 months of 2011 the 360 is outselling the PS3 on a worldwide basis by 4.4 million vs 3.9 million.

In other words, the gap has actually grown by approx 500K units so far this year. Not that it matters much.

NO we don't do you even under stand the word "metagame", this forum doesn't only acknowlegde "exclusive" games get it through your head or go ask a mod. On the front page of system wars (not exclusive wars) there is a thread about Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Dead space 2, hurry go tell them we only talk about exclusive games :roll:

It's amazing that even those Kinect games have little to show so far this year, considering how badly Microsoft wants it to be successful. Not that they really need anything more than Dance Central 2.

Your situation is not indicative of all gamers, I'll be playing BF3 on my gaming pc also doesn't mean I'll act like it doesn't exist elsewere. There are millions of gamers who only have a 360 or just a ps3 or just a pc way more then have all consoles. And to them they have PLENTY of games, if only exclusives mattered then PS3 would be the number 1 console but it isn't.
