MS: One Halo Game Every Three Years Not Frequent Enough

Unless 343 Industries really impresses the hell out of me, I will not buy another Halo game, especially if one is released yearly. I'm content with Reach and will play it for years to come.

Yup, and I think some people from Kojima Studios too. I'm just burnt out on Halo right now and I love the series. They just need to let Reach live its course for the next four or five years before they think about putting out another Halo game.

Im talking about ms getting ideas with 343 and shipping halos(if they like the idea enough) alot sooner than they should.

^Pretty much sums everything up about this particular statement.

The thing is in gaps between games, fans were hardly "kept in the dark". There was plenty of side material in the form of novels, comics, and even an anime anthology. Not the mention the multiplayer kept people active for quite awhile. People were still engaged in the franchise while waiting 3 years for a full-fledged installment. I sure hope there aren't annual installments ala COD. It would do more harm to Halo than good.

This isn't anything surprising, or new really. Since the launch of the 360, there's been 4 Halo games in 5 years. 3 (Halo Wars, ODST, Reach) of which have released in under 2 years.

Maybe there will be some more spin-offs in the future to go along with 343's installments.

As much as i love halo 1 every year i say every 2 and a half or 1 every three, i liked the 1 game every three years Felt like it was Awesome once i got it.. hope 343 goes the way of reach and makes it dark.

Why develop a new game 3 years when they can take an old one and rename it and still make as much profit?

The thing I liked about Halo was that it released every 3 years. I dislike how CoD or EA Sports games are so frequent. It gets so pointless.

Hey Microsoft! Don't ride on Halo all the Time. Have Rare, the company that has so many IPs like Conker, Banjo, Killer Instinct, Battle Toads, etc make a Game off of those instead.

He didn't say it would be annualy like COD, he just said more frequent. Maybe every 2 years, which is a common enough cycle for games eg. the Uncharted series etc.
