MS really got scared

As for Gamescom, I'm not too sure. Maybe they don't have that many more games to show off :/. This move is pretty awkward.

Concerning their overal actions in the past few months... I'd say it looks like they were scared. The complete reversal of policies, change in kinect requirement, and change in indie philosophy all are a result of them reading and gauging the market and realizing they would lose many potential customers. In short, less money for them lol.

I'm glad they saw the light so to speak. I want an XBO now. This whole escapade will be something to remember for awhile lol.

They kept hyping that they were going to announce a new game at Gamescom... announce to whom? to devs? Since no potential gamer-buyer will see the announcement since they are not streaming it...

If nobody sees their press conference, SONY wins Gamescom by default.

Sony is going to show a new demo of #DriveClub, the multiplayer of Killzone Shadowfall, 1 of Housemarque new IP and, very likely, Media Molecule new IP (if not more stuff).

First chance we get to see XBox games running on something other than NVidia Titans and the event gets gagged?!

Tragedy. This can happen when losing confidence in your product. Not that I expected anything exceptionally great from MS at Gamescon, but I also didn't expect them to go down so easily. Hopefully, for them, being able to edit the content will lead to more positive momentum. Sony, on the other hand, seems very confident in what they'll show.

There is something not quite right going on here.  MS could be building up anticipation but then again I have a feeling they are trying to hold on looking bad once again till they can't hide it any longer.

I wouldn't say doomed, but it's pretty suspicious why they aren't streaming it don't you think?  Why not share what they have unless what they have isn't up to snuff?  I mean there could be legit reasons to not share what they have but by hiding it they are only making themselves look bad.  I don't think that anyone but the hardcore Xbots are going to see this in a positive light.

They are doing more of a hands on approach for the press. Which means their stage presentation will be pretty brief I'm assuming. I'm sure whatever is released will hit Gamespot or other gaming site fairly quickly anyways. Whatever the case, I just want to know what new exclusive they will be showing. That's all I really care about. Maybe a price cut on the XBox 360 hardware.

Hopefully I won't need a "pillow" this time as I dozed off watching Sony E3 press conference. lol!! If they show the same stuff they showed at the E3 again, I will definitely fall asleep.

Xbox One has more bandwidth then PS4, 133 GB/s from eSRAM and 68 GB/S from ddr3 ram, also much lower latency RAM then the PS4 RAM so it will be much more efficient, PS4 is a simple architecture, just off the shelf parts put together and called it a day....no efficiency out of PS4 really ayoox1

Oh also good look with anything that doesn't feat on those 32MB that would be a hell to pay.

Oh the PS4 GPU is actually more custom than the xbox one GPU which is the one basically slapped from PC without any modifications.

What has the CELL to do with memory architecture comparisons?

Did the 360 had a CELL counterpart with a simpler design of the PPE or SPEs?

Not scared enough. They should have delayed Xbox One to redesign the GPU and switch over to Volcanic Islands architecture in the process. They could also have used the delay to redesign the memory architecture. They didn't partially because these companies are obsessed with how they do early on. But I think that's the wrong approach. It's a marathon, not a sprint. PS3 eventually surpassed X360 in sales after all.
