MS Super-Bowl Ad... These Damn Kids!

So, I saw nothing regarding this, so i'm gonna post it. I'm from the UK originally and emigrated to Canada, so American Football hasn't been a big interest for me. I just saw this ad, and as much as MS gets ragged on (sometimes deservedly so,) this resonates with me...

I have a chronic and debilitating condition, but I can at least use all of my appendages. That being said, i'd like to bring attention to these amazing pieces of technology for these kids.

This needs to be a huge push for all companies within the gaming industry... Even colour deficiencies are being addressed more and more.

It's genuinely amazing. Not only addressing the issues, but the solution is viable. They can map controls to a multitude of health issues.

Meh, trying to appeal to the emotional sentiments of young adults. Not flying with me, I've seen way better gaming commercials.

I saw that ad during the Super Bowl run, I think it was really cool MS working getting debilitating condition to physically get kids playing. It's not everyday you see a gaming company taking efforts making this happened.

Never underestimate Humans , especially for what they can do. I play fighting games all my life, but I'm sure he'll whoop my ass lol.

We had threads about this a few months back. Its good stuff. I think MS even free-sourced some of the tech so other gaming conpanies could use it if I remember correctly.

I'm all for games and systems supporting handicapped, however small, and disabeled people.

The more people that get to enjoy video games, the better.

I am glad that MS has come out with this device and is helping people with disabilities. However, I agree that the commercial itself is a marketing ploy to generate good will towards MS and bolster their image. So, while helping the kids is coming from a good place.... spending so much money to run an ad like that during a super bowl is MS trying too hard and they are not coming with the purest of intentions with that ad.

So tell me what were the intentions of this ad?
