All he did was answer the question. To paraphrase what he said, MS does not believe that it has to worry about the games that Sony and it's fans say will "kill the competition in 2008" because some may or may not come, since Sony has a habit going all the way back to the ps2 of touting features & benefits that never materialize.

It was a brilliant move, and thats why cows are having a hard time dealing with it. They didn't attack Sony, they defended themselves against the "Oh NO, SOny has 2008 on lock with part 4, 5, and 13" of the same old stuff they have been talking about for years.

i dont think iv ever said 2008 will kill the compitition. and he didnt have to go on a huge rant about how bad sony is as a company.

Of course I am not saying YOU said these things, and I don't even know if you are (and I have not called you) a fanboy.

I am just talking about what mentality caused him to answer the question that way. The whole "what is MS going to do to combat these games that people have been talking about forever, some of which were just delayed again, and others we know very little about:.

Sony has been talking the talk for years, but have yet to walk the walk. I remember that they said at least 90% of their games would be in 1080p format. Now we see that many 5-10% are actually in 1080p format. Sixaxis was suppose to rule over Wii's Wiimote control, yet many developers aren't even using Sixaxis anymore. The ones who are, are using it sparingly for maybe 1 or 2 things in the game. Blue-Ray really haven't made their games any better or even any longer in most cases. Sony has made lots of promises, but have barely delivered on any of them.

Then three years ago at E3 they showed what PS3 games would supposedly look like with the Killzone 2 video, that we are now learning will ship four years later. That means that we will have shipped Gears of War and Gears of War 2 before they can even get Killzone2 out the door. Think back to GDC 2007 when Sony promised to leap ahead in online with the Sony Home unveil. Here we are two years later and multiple delays for a product that has appears to have little to no buzz. Where are the achievements? The friends list integration across all games? Where is the long-promised video store? Where are all the other products using and networking with their CELL chip? How come Blu-ray did not result in better games? What happened with Sixaxis and rumble? Where is the complete 1080p game library we were promised? If Blu-ray as they said would be such a catalyst to PS3 console sales, then why have PS3 sales over the past couple months not seen any lift since the format victory?"

I'm a supporter of alls ystems first of all, to clear away any fanboy comments some may use. Now, honestly, if i were Microsoft, i would be really pissed too. If you look at the two console, Microsoft has tried way harder than Sony, and despite fanboy comments, does indeed have better overall games than the Playstation. That's not saying PS3 doesn't have good games, especially with MGS4 coming. I'm also not saying that Microsoft is perfect, because the RROD scare has me buying multi plats for my PS3. But come on, with all the effort Microsoft has put in this tiem around, and the oure arrogance and minimal effort Sony has used, there is no reason that the PS3 should be cacthing up in sales, other than a cheap Blu-Ray player. I own both, and a Wii, but I'm the exception, most can't afford 2 or 3 modern consoles. So why Sony is catching up is beyond me.

Is Sony REALLY catching up though? I mean, 360 has sold 5 to 6 million more worldwide than the ps3. How many had they sold before ps3 came out? About 7 million? Of course it is to be expected that a new console will sell a couple of million at launch.

So in effect, they sold their launch systems and everything just stayed the same afterwards.

Lets refresh everyones memory. PS3 launched in europe in March 2007, only 14 months ago vs 360s December 2005, 28 months ago.

Actually, Nintendo is top dawg but, whatever. As far as visuals go, Killzone 2 does look impressive, but there are several titles on the horizon that look amazing as well. Fallout 3 and Gears of War 2 come to mind. Besides, visuals are an important factor in a game but equally or more important is gameplay. Gears has that in spades. Hopefully, Killzone 2 will as well.

Sony has a huge giantic fanbase, and people are scared of going other ways and i'm not kidding.

When the xbox first launched me and all of my friends were hostile towards it, really just hating it and for what? we never tryed and knew nothing about it.

people are being hostile towards the xbox for no reason (like i used to be) and just stick with what they know.

Also the PS3 has games which dates back to the PS1 like MGS and GT which are pure system sellers, also people buy the console because of the blu-ray player, yup that's right.

When i first bought my xbox my brother was like "the PS3 got the blu-ray player, so why did you pick the xbox .." If he was to choose between the 2 consoles it would've been the PS3 because it has the blu-ray player.

Anyways - alot of people pick the PS3 because they've had the PS2 or PS1, i picked my xbox 360 because i got Gears of war, Forza Motorsport and viva pinata with it for only 400$

The ps3 costed 740$ with Need for speed and Ratchet and Clank.

I've had a blast with my games and my IRL friends, had no problems with my console and i got it for almost half the price of what the PS3 costed.

Anyways - i'm not suprised if the PS3 sells better because of my points i've listed.

already posted before...and also its pretty old seeing as how they were saying they had a 1 million unit lead of 360 console sales in europe. It was announced that europe was overtaken by ps3 a short time ago although it doesnt matter really....Ps3 is gaining speed and its only a matter of time if you ask me. It may take until 2011 but sony will at least get 2nd this gen...at least.

Ok I have a theory. MS don't take the competition for granted. They have been in business too long to do that against their main competitor. Arrogant is something that MS is not right now, because they know only too well they have a long way to go.

But they make it look like they do. People wonder why MS seem to do it more, I think its like Boxers mentality. They especially tend to do a lot more trash talking before the fight to play psychological games with their opponents, make them sweat a bit, keep the pressure on.

Although im not sure about this new game (to this industry) MS are playing here of not showing any of their cards. Its kind of unheard of in the games industry, only because gamers need to know what to look forward too. They say they have lots of plans they're not mentioning, but it looks to people like they have nothing coming, by playing this (secretive) game.

Umm, where the hell did you get that MS was leading by 10 to 11 million late last year?!? No they weren't! They were only about 7 million ahead when the PS3 launched.
