[QUOTE="Shattered007"] and when it's annouced for Xbox 360 at E3'09 they'll say "No big deal"! / " knew this would happen!"AgentA-Mi6This is SO TRUE. Square Enix's Credibility went down the toilet, I'll only belive them if they claim Exclusivity for Wii or 360 but never for Ps3, I've stated this many times before and I'll do it One more Time. All platforms this gen will get at least one exclusve from square enix except the Ps3. Why is it that this was when you stopped beleiving every word they say. They've always been bad about release dates. I don't see how making a game multiplat is much worse than constantly pushing a game's release date back.
[QUOTE="Blue-Sky"][QUOTE="Blue-Sky"] lol I hope your joking dude. Using the game engine to render cutscenes in real time does NOT use more space. The ingame assets ie. character models, environments, items etc. are already there and just being animated into a scene. CGI cutscenes are pre rendered videos and take up a considerable amount of space especially in HD. Why do you think PS1 FFs used so many discs? Why do you think LO uses so many discs?Blue-SkyReally? I could have sworn I heard from somewhere else about how to save space on Gears of War 2 they prerendered cutscenes...unless that means they rendered in game...Pre rendered doesn't mean CGI. Pre rendered means just that, it's a pre rendered cinematic. But CGI takes more space. That's why FFVII was on 3 discs, FFVIII and FFIX were on 4. FF games always use a LOT of CGI and will probably be one 4 DVDs(360) and one Blu Ray(Ps3)
Â
You know what takes up more space than CGI? CGI in 720p. The avg FF has less than 1:30 to 2 hours of it.Â
You can bet your but, FFXIII will be 4 disc, just like the old FF days.Â
[QUOTE="Blue-Sky"][QUOTE="Blue-Sky"]People that really don't care about the game and just need to feed their enter fanboy post things that was answerd to so they can claim onage. Y'know I just thought about this...what if FF13 is bad? SE has been hit or miss with this gen so far. I hope it's good.Blue-Sky

if FF13 is fails cows will just switch gears and hope for versus to be a killer title
Dont you know, Cows were always hyping Versus more:roll:Actually ever since FF13 was annouced multiplat, Versus took spotlight. Cows only play exclusives.Â

Well... Blu Ray was included on the Ps3 for a reason, to push the movie form... I mean to provide more storage space to developers n_n]You know what takes up more space than CGI? CGI in 720p. The leap from CGI wasn't that big from the PS1 era. But now that they have to put their CGI in HD, it will take up several DVDs, or a dual layered blu ray

Oh noes!!! You mean i'm going to have to get up out of my chair, open the disc tray, swap discs, and then sit back down in my chair like 3 or four times over the course of a probable 40hr game!!!???!!! Well thats it, im buying a ps3................end of sarcastic rant.
[QUOTE="Couth_"]It will be at least 4 discs. The Last Remnant uses the games engine for cut scenes. FFXIII, like Lost Odyssey, will use CGI. And it will use a lot of itToriko42Using a game engine for cutscenes take up more space then CGII really doubt that, plus from my FF game experiance, each game has an overall 1h of CGI cutscenes during the game. Thats almost like having a full Hi-Def 3D movie (like Wall-E for example on blu-ray) Anyways it most likely will have 4 cds and more on the 360 there is no doubt about that.

Is there something wrong with my settings are something? It looks like you quoted yourself 3 times on my screen...wasnt some FF games on ps1 like 2 disks? maybe the leap to 1 dvd disk showed just that they didnt have heaps of space to work when it came to dvds (not saying any bluray is needed crap so dont start anyone) but now the ps3 devs can use even more space they wud have to give other consoles more then 1 dvd - unless they want to make it an entirely different game. im going to guess that they use up heaps of the 50 gigs for ps3.mgs_freak91FF7 was on 3 disc, and both 8 and 9 were on 4 discs.
please tell me you people of system wars make a big deal of multi discs....NetYankEagle
(in reference to sig) Damn you Carter! If I ever see that $%#^#@ in Toronto I'm gonna.... well do nothing, but do it angrily:evil:!
