Multi-Platform Games: Should I buy them for the PS3 or 360?

People stop being so ignorant.

First of all - Most multiplats looks the same.

Some look better on the 360 like Fallout 3 and Resident Evil 5 but dont misunderstand because it is not all of them.

Also some look better on the PS3 like Bioshock and Burnout Paradise.

PS3

1. More reliable discs, so my games will last longer, and be in better shape if I ever want to sell them.

2. The PS3 is more reliable so I'd say it's a safer bet, it would suck if I got all my multiplats for the 360 and then the console died on me.

3. I know I'll always have online up and running, even if a game has just some small online thingy, at least on PSN it will always work without having to worry about Gold memberships.

buy them for ps3, you dont have to pay to play online.

It all depends on the game, DLC(:roll:) and friends. PS3 has free online whereas Live you gotta pay, so in 5 years if you wanna dust off a classic PS3 might be safer.

Plus if you get it on PS3, you get to face me!:P

ps3. free online for like 2 generations to come.

PS3 & 360 have good multiplayer games.....

The general belief is that 360 multiplats look better and the still images from the graphics comparisons support that belief sometimes. But those differences are noticable only if you pause the game or stop playing and start nitpicking every single detail. In other words, they're negligible at best. But there are some games that have more problems when played on a PS3 but they're few and far between.

360 is not an option here, i want play my games without worry about disc read errors and whatever, Ps3/PC FTW !!!

It depends on what game it is and what controller would work better for that game.

i suggest you do like the majority - XBOX 360.

Depends for me, one factor is what my other friends are getting the game for, for resident evil 4 none of my friends with 360's got the game cause it wasnt their thing, but had one friend that got it for ps3 so went with that so we can do the coop, same thing for left for dead, was debating getting it on 360 since one of my friends has it, but three of my friends has it on pc so got it on pc and do the 4 player coop. Sports games, no question 360, next big game thats debated for me is the new modern combat contenders are pc or 360.
