well yea but it would be 100 times easier to live with only a pc, or 360, or a ps3, even though it would be tough, i could do it. The only current gen console I have is the Wii.

But it doesn't suck at all.

There are tons of games I didn't buy for it yet. I can actually finally catch up on all the stuff from the first half of the year, in which the Wii owned.

Nintendo's Direction is different from SONY's/M$'s.

All three companies have their Christmas Lineup ready (M$-Fable 2, GeoW2.)(SONY-Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM)(Nintendo-Wii Music/Wii Resort/Animal Crossing)...meanwhile Games like COD4, Halflife 2, GTA4, RE5, etc. only skip the Wii.

There's a difference. Nintendo's splitting direction for TWO audiences, while Sony and M$, for the most part, concentrate on earning the hardcore/oldschool gamers.

So no, the PS3 is nothing like the Wii. I realize you don't have a PS3, so it was fun to take a shot at it, but as a Sheep with an Xbox, you must know that Nintendo is different.

He said "For the most part"... And honestly he is right, how many games that are on 360/Ps3 appeal to casuals besides the typical sports games that are on all systems? Compared to the Wii, there are barely any, Im not saying that is a bad thing just pointing it out...

I doubt those shooters were aimed at the casual audience though...

Willy, it means that his friends don't have the same knowledge of what to buy, that me and you do. If I only had a Wii, I surely wouldn't let AA's slip by me. His friends do, I suppose.

budget and red rings sound about right. and as long as willy is happy with only a Wii then its his choise right? he can find a hell of a lot more quality titles than i can on there and i applaude him for that. but while he is content with only a Wii people like me and you are only content with being able to play as much the industry has to offer as we can afford.

At the begging of this generation, I threw my lot in with the Wii. I was a Wii only for at least 6-8 months. As time went on, I felt like I was missing out on all the action. As fun as Galaxy, SSBB and Mario Kart were, it felt really shallow. I then bought a 360 and played both consoles for a while and had a really great time.

God of War III, MGS IV, Little Big Planet, reliabilty, free online and backwards compatibility for Ps1/ Ps2 games started to gnaw away at my thoughts.

I sold the 360, which later RROD'd on my friend ( I kid you not ) even though I thought it would never happen to me and sold the Wii because it was gathering dust.

I got the PS3 and finally feel content. I enjoy all the Multiplats and get to play my favorite exlusives.

After looking at the Wii Music review and seeing the selction of games on the Wii at my local Best Buy and Gamestop, I have no regrets about selling my Wii. To those people that own only the Nintendo Wii, you are missing out on the best stuff this generation has to offer. Great online play, amazing muliplats and amazing exlusives.

Notice I didn't compare graphics, because gameplay > graphics. I'd rather own my SNES with 15 classic games then a Nintendo Wii.

As somebody who feels this gen is decidedly subpar, I have to say I'm not missing out on much...
