IMO console gamers have more skill than PC players, have you seen a PC player trying to play with a pad? its just dreadul I just laugh at my friends that try it
it takes alot more skill to be good with a pad than with a KB/M combo...........and I mean alot more
you take a pad player to a KB/M combo and play against the best PC players they will do a hell of alot better than if you took a KB/M player to a pad
you gotta see how good people can get with a pad, its scary and yes im one of them
I play alot of both console and PC's and I appreciate good players on pads alot more than KB/M because unless your a complete moron anyone can play to at least a decent standard with a KB/M
anyway I find console more more hardcore than PC games anyway, games like bayonetta , Ninja gadien, Demon souls etc are some of the toughest game sout there and require insanely good reactions and skills
whereas PC gamers have been brought up with things like quicksave functions shows that they arent up for a real challenge
I mean quicksave just ruins any fear of getting killed and therefore much of the excitement
and I hate it when noobish aspects like this get put in to console games like with ME2, we like thing abit more hardcore
I remember when far Cry came out for the PC and I loved the checkpoint save system, but of the PC gamers were like oh noees I need a quicksave function,
why some people say a KB/M take more skill than a controller pad is beyond me
there is a difference between it taking skill to use a thing, or showing more skill because you use a thing. It is easy to use a kb and mouse but hard to master, and using it you have an accuracy advantage against controllers. It is hard to use a controller, and hard to master it, and you will get your butt royally whipped by a KB/M user. I don't know where you got the idea any one said it took more skill to use one or the other...since that wasn't the topic.well thats your opinion I been playing PC FPS's with KB/M combo for 10 years and I found it realtively easy to master compared to a control pad, which take a long time
and my beef is with people that say somehow PC games take more skill to play than console game's, that was my reaction
I think alot of that comes from the fact that more younger people play consoles than PCs,
but IMO the most skilled gamer in the world are the fighting game players virtua fighter etc
they take insane amounts of skill and split second timing, pressing all those different combinations of buttons in quick succestion at just the right time in the definition of hardcore
as much as I love shooters pointing and aiming isnt as hardcore as the above
