My 360 RROD, thats it MS has lost me

I can't take it anymore this is the third time and right on time for the big game release's. I've been a big 360 supporter from the start you can check my games list, but MS have a problem with thier console they don't seem to care about and its getting really annoying. I'm not putting up with it anymore and will be buying all Mulitpath games on my PS3 now.

Can any new 360 owners tell me if the problem is truly fixed have you bought a 360 this year thats hasn't RROD

Join The Club! They lost me after my 2nd time. In my mind a company that makes that shotty of a system doesn't deserve my money.

I bought an Elite last month after my 1st 360 kicked the bucket. I'm pretty optimistic that this one will last through the rest of the 360 life cycle. If not, then I'm done.

What did you do to break your PS3? My experience with 4 different PS3 models and 4 people I know that have them is that they run flawlessly.

Sucks that it broke on you.but don't listen to the people that say the PS3 is perfect in that area. Sony support will tell you that only being able to watch movies and not play games is a common issue...one that will cost you + $100 to fix.

I must have the best luck ever, have a 60g PS3 and a launch 360 and neither has EVER givin me a problem. The only issue I had was my Wii actually that wouldn't read dual layered discs. I must also laugh at people trying to pawn the 360 horrendous failure rates onto the poor PS3 and it's YLOD that nowhere near as prevelant as the 360's issues.Jynxzor

I have a 60gig from launch.....and my younger brother also has a launch 60gig..... we have not had any problems....both systems run fine..... I have had mine freeze everynow and then....mostly from playing Betas or using the Internet browser causing it to freeze...

a close friend of mine also has a launch 60gig....and he uses it for nothing but BluRay Movies, Internet (youtube), photo feature, music in the living room when we have get togethers (yes some Ladies do love the PS3 8)...they like Dancing in front of the Big Screen with the whole visualizer playing the background)...but yeah he uses alot and since launch 2006 he has turned it off maybe just 5-6 times... he has it on ALL the time...and I believe there are others who do this........it might be better to do this....because his is still dead silent...but mines gets noisy once in a while.

Mine broke after I finished Brutal Legend. 3 years after I bought it. First time was 1.5 years after I bought it. So it broke 2 times on me.Was out of warranty... But MS said the repair is free.

So I'm not mad at all. I might have to wait a week or 2 to play MW2... But I'm not going to die without my 360.

still have my launch 360 and i have a panasonic bluray player so there is no reason for me to buy anything sony again thank god.

I got RRoD, it wasn't that bad because for those 21 days it took to get my 360 back I had a PS3 and Wii to keep my occupied :)

After 3 RROD failures (2 on first console, 1 on second).... I almost gave up. Then I made sure my next xbox was a JASPER chipset.

I can tell you now, this is vastly improved, straight away there is less heat and its very reliable. Cases are very rare where JASPER consoles have had RROD. If you do decide to get another xbox then search high and low for a JASPER, they really are the best.

I'm not implying anything here, butclaiming that the PS3 never breaks is completely false. I'm not claiming that the PS3 has as many problems as the 360 does with hardware because it doesn't. I do think that Microsoft gambled big time by releasing their console early with the much increased chances of having hardware malfunction, and so far have done well despite these problems as you yourself just admitted.

My friend was a huge supporter of the 360 for the first year or so. He had about 20 games in his collection when his 360 got the RRoD. He sent it in, got it fixed, and not even a month later it broke down again. He took all of his games and traded them into EB for a PS3 and Resistance and has had no problems with it and that was almost 3 years ago :p.

You're not alone, I'm sure a lot of people have had similar experiences.

Instead of complaining you could just send it to MS. I don't see why it's such a revelation. You either like the games or you don't. If not, then sell it and be rid of it. If you do then send it to MS and get it replaced for Free. Mine barely took 2 weeks to come back.
