Here are some of my shots, some from the game, and some from the editor.

honestly im not trying to be a fanboy or anything...but besides having the most amazing graphics ever, i can't really see anything about this game being to great. it looks more like im looking at it too much to care about how average the gameplay is
and people say the Character models are bad.... If thats bad then my name is Margaret and I am 90 years old...
horrowhip
Hey there Margaret, how was that Bingo tournament?
Sorry, couldn't resist the bait
Seriously, that looks brilliant. And I officially hate all 8800 owners. Nothing personal mind you :P ;) ;)

They arnt bad, they are outshined by every other aspect of the games graphics.
I completely agree. The charcter models are similar to the best found on the 360/PS3 but the environments just blow anything on the console out of the water.honestly im not trying to be a fanboy or anything...but besides having the most amazing graphics ever, i can't really see anything about this game being to great. it looks more like im looking at it too much to care about how average the gameplay is

What do you mean? Have you ever played PC Far Cry?
If this game did nothing more than expand upon the basic open gameplay FPS awesomeness found in Far Cry (it does much more) it would already be worth a purchase.
The gameplay will match the graphics man; it's open ended insanity with sweet suit powers, insane physics, cool vehicles, and a friggin' nuke gun.
What are you even talking about? It all looks sweet, the whole package.

Hah. Ok then, what do you have to say about Gears of War?

PC Gamer absolutely loved the gameplay.

What kind of FPS are you getting with that rig? and what kind of settings are you running it on? Your screens are the best looking user screens i've seen yet.Vis-a-Vis
I run at 1680x1050, but I do turn down the lighting and shadow effects to high. Looks quite nearly as good, with 25 FPS average, quite playable, considering the demo doesnt use my quad cores and is running on beta video drivers. Performance will only improve with the full game.

I've played the Demo and it is far from average gameplay. The levels are extremely open, allowing you to play any way you want to. You can use stealth and just swim across the level and get to the checkpoint, or you can run along the beach, or you can hijack a boat and go across to the end, or you can take a vehicle and go across the level. thats just in the first tutorial level too. Also, the nanosuit allows for a lot of gameplay variety, allowing you to choose your gameplay style. Want to run and gun, stick to Armor mode and shoot away. Want to play the superhuman one man army use Maximum Speed and Maximum Strength to grab the Koreans and throw them. Want to play the game stealthily, use cloak and slowly snipe the enemies, advancing tactically and methodically. Customization is also nice. You have to plan out your attacks because if you want to go in quickly and tactically use a silencer and the tac attachment to take out one guy with the sleep bullet then switch to full auto and take out the rest of the patrol without alerting nearby enemies. Want to run and gun, take off the silencer and go full out shootout. The reason you do this is because the silencer makes you weapons have less power and will take longer to kill(unless you get headshots, then it doesn't matter). You can also use the trees to your advantage by shooting down a tree tocreate a distraction so you then take out the enemy. Shoot the tank on the back of theJeeps to blow up the jeep and kill anyone nearby. There are just so many waysyou can play the game that it is rediculous and it is always up to you. And this was onlythe first level whichPC Gamer said was basically the worst one in the game because each level after it just gets better and better and better. You also get more weapon customizations and moreopen levels later on.
PC Gamer absolutely loved the gameplay.

Yeah, I still can't believe that score. It is really is something rare and amazing for PC Gamer to give that out.
People downplaying the signifance of that review have no idea what they are talking about.

Yeah, I just ordered a new rig, quad core, 8800GT, 2GB ram and whatnot, should run Crysis pretty decent.

Only Half-life 2 and Alpha Centauri ever got that score from them, which says something... ;)

yep. And the only other reviews above 95% were ofcla$$ic games... Infact, they have only ever give scores above 94% like 20 times in their 10 year history....
amazing
but its way too realistic to the point that there's no art style.
Liquid-GEAR
Which shouldn't lower your respect of the graphics or crytek's designers, just imagine the amount of work needed for modelling every object...
Still, you want art style, what about this?

yeah... people forget that realistic games can have an art style too. moments like these are art.
with the beautiful sunrise, its well though out and awe inspiring.
that is art right there. Impressive, rugged, awesome.
Again, awe inspiring and beautiful.
Saying Crysis doesn't have an art$tyle would be a disjustice to the endless hours of work their Game Artists spend modeling, sculpting and fine tuning the levels to make the as beautiful as they are. Another awesome artistic moment is the canyon at the end of the demo. If someone can get a screenshot looking down it I would be very happy. That is a truly awesome looking moment looking back down that canyon because it is just so cool looking. The Parallax Rocks leading up the the canyon are also quite impressive.
that is beautiful.
[QUOTE="Mad_Rhetoric"]what kind of frame rate are you getting?dgsag
25 AVG, playable. Consider demo doesnt support quad core yet and im running on beta drivers...

Why don't you save yourself the trouble of "assuming" that a game is bad and actually give the game a try? From what I understand, despite being relatively average in the story department, the gameplay is actually quite enjoyable.
Found another screenshot taken by some guy through the editor. He just looked around finding the AI doing different things and he managed to catch this.
horrowhip
damn, thats sick.
BTW, has anyone tried to change time of day settings in the editor?
I think thats gonna change the look of everything by a lot.

No it sounds like you're trying to be a fanboy. Even if you aren't lol
Dude thats ridiculous. I haven't seen any screenshots of Crysis that look that good
Christ, it also helps that you set the time of day in the editor :P
I came on a AI dude under a truck repairing it in one of the sheds in a camp. I popped a couple wheels so the truck fell on him. He kicked around a bit then died. I should have so gotten a screenshot though.Wartzay
holy crap...next time I play the game...Im just gonna turn invisible...sit on a hill with the binocs and just watch what they do.

I tend to agree with him the game looks fantastic and all but from the gameplay video's I have seen it dosent look like it's going to get a 9.5 from GS I would say it will get a 8.5 - 9.0. If he said his statment like this:ALLL GRAPHX AND NO GAMEPLAY 7.5 FLOP CONFIRMED!!111!!1!!one!1!! ROFL ROFL ROFL    !!1!!!1
Then that would be sounding like an blind and very immature fanboy.
