My dad is a total non-gamer and he hates the wii just like me a (hardcore gamer)

but we both hate it for diff reasons

so i was talkin to my dad about what he wants for christmas an we walk by a wii in best buy and he hates video games with a passion (Thinks there a big waste of time kinda guy) im like hey u know this system is supposed toappeal for non gamers like you do u wanna try it out, he LAUGHSat mean says no not realy.... wellhes a prettybusy lawyer and doesnt really have any time for video games in his spare time an he still thinks the wii sucks an i was like yeah i can seu r point i wouldnt wanna play it either i dnot like those kinda games anymore

the only game he ever played was mike tyson punch out on the NES ONCEan only the first fight for like 2 minutes when i was like 8 in our basement the only time he went down there

so again who are these non-gamers gettin into the wii? My mom has almost zero clue about the wii's existence and prolly wouldn't go near it unlessi bought it for her an made her play a few games,my brother is semi casual gamer and he doesnt like hte wii at all, he has owned a n64 in the past though hes just too old for the wii now and so am i

the only game my mom plays was tetris/breakout an pinball type things or card games, She doesnt need or want a wii either

WHO are the nON-gamers picking this up? im in a family of non-gamers an nobody wants it, THEY dont play gtames an dont waste there time with games how is nintendo gettin other non-gamers ppl to smack down 250 on somethin they barely are gonna use if ever an who are the hardcore gamers who are wastin there time with games ike zack an wiki an paper mariowith all the other great games out there right now seems like ashamethis really blows my mind if u know what i mean

Just because you're none gaming family don't want a Wii doesn't mean it's true of every none gaming family.

What is it with people assuming that the Wii is for kids? The Wii can be enjoyed at any age, the Wii is about creating a different experience for the player.

what makes you a hardcore gamer just because you have a 360 pc or ps3?or you play alot of games? and since NIntendo has an age limit for the console i find that to be bs im 25 years old and i love he Wii. This console is probably the best fun i had in years. SMG was the main reason aswell the game is beautifully made and the controls so easy to use that my neighbors even come by on the weekend to play.so even though Wii owners will get games that you consider in your own hardcore defintion"casual" or even" kiddy" but we will have the same satifaction as you, having a great time playing the game and spending numerous hours playing knowing we spent good earned money to play this game

i believe a hardcore gamer is that you have a vareity of games, collected multiple consoles over the years, thats the way i see a hardcore gamer is described.

Obviously since his dad doesn't like Wii no other non-gamer would like it as well. ProtossRushX doesn't lie. So I hvae come to the conclusion. The Wii's entire user-base is comprised of Hardcore gamers. The Wii is the Hardcore Console.

But even then. The 360 is still the best console since sliced bread and SMG is the best game since sliced bread. ProtossRushX said so.

Non-gamers not buying it meaning his family, and "hardcore" gamers not buying it meaning him.

I personally AM a hardcore gamer (i go to a number of tournaments throughout each year), and I bought a wii and I love it.
It has plenty of games to keep me completely entertained (Zelda IS a hardcore game, along with mario galaxy and zack and wiki).

You saying that your "too old" is rather hilarious though, since when did it matter how old you were to play games? Mario can be enjoyable to anyone, it doesn't matter how old you are, just because a game has a kiddy outline doesn't mean it can't be incredibly fun. I personally prefer kiddy graphics over ultra realistic gory graphics anyday, I like to KNOW that i'm in a game.

Seriously, if you think it's wrong to play kiddy games because your too grown up, then you really do need to GROW UP and expand your mind.

Think anyone can put it better then that? ;)

Seriosuly though the other day when he drove me to K-Mart so I could buy Need for Speed for my PS Tripple he was like "Wii? No way!"
