Finally someone has gotten it. You're right. No console this generation can do something that the other one can't. You can shove KZ2 and GeoW2 in my face but at the end of the day, ask yourself, "Can it be done on the other console?" If you say no, then you're in total denial.

What people fail to realize is that this comparisson is actually GOOD for PS3. The first time they did this they were way behind, but now their nearly equal.

You made an interesting mistake in your argument (or is it what you trully believe?)"inferior to the 360" lol. Anyway, just like anyfanboy, when you speak about "technicalities", you forget to mention the flip of the ps3... Yes, it has more processing power, like you mentioned, but ofcourse, forget to talk about it's graphic card ( inferior to the 360) and its RAM (less conveniant to use)... Which bottom line makes these two console on par with each other, get over it!

Don't play Crysis, it will ruin your perspective on current gen graphics and physics. I had a go with the game on Very High settings and afterwards, even Gear's textures on the PC look like garbage. Now I demand that every FPS/TPS allows me the ability to pick up a box of bananas and demolish sheds with it.

Anyhow, I find it difficult to compare Uncharted and Gears on a technical level considering their theme and art styles are way off from one another. Uncharted wins for me because it pleases my eyes (who are the real judge when it comes to graphics) much more than Gears simply due to the environments.

I found Uncharted had very nicely detailed textures, less jaggies than Gears of War, and amazing water. Uncharted and DMC4 are the nicest looking console games I've played, and I have the 360 DMC4. So to me, the 360 and PS3 are practically equal powerwise.

Uncharted is an ok game with beautiful graphics, but terrible screen tearing. Gears of War is a phenomal game with phenomal graphics. I'll take Gears of war anyday. Why does anybody care about multi-plat comparisons? I'm more worried about exclusives. The ps3's aren't the best right now, but they'll get better, and 360 has a lot of great games that aren't on ps3. Both are great system, ps3 is still a year behind.

Actually, Wii is the PS2 of this gen

Gears of War is a beautiful game but I own Uncharted and that game just blows my mind, the way the cloth ripples on your shirt as your moving, the way your clothing reacts to being in the water and how you only get wet by location, the water period lol (best example is the jet ski level), The character models and their facial expressions, the surrounding forest.... I mean I could go on the beauty of Uncharted is the little details it has in everything going on around you. Gears of War is a fantastic looking game and the version for PC I would give an edge over Uncharted but if you were talking console to console 360 vs PS3 with those two games Uncharted wins that comparison hands down in my mind. The Unreal Engine 3 is an amazing piece of technology but the future advancements they've made thus far aren't in the first game.

just because you like the colors in Uncharted does not make it anywhere near the best looking game. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true: Uncharted really does spank Gears in the graphics/technology department. I have both games and whatever Uncharted is running under it's hood is miles ahead of Gears... I'm a Big Ole' Lemming at heart, but when you've seen them both in action, Uncharted wins by a country mile...

I'm with you. The level of detail and immersion in a game like GTA IV impresses me much more. Uncharted has some crappy looking foliage, but has some very nice textures. All in all, I'm still much more impressed with GTA IV for its all around atmosphere and such.

Yeah, Uncharted is a very linear game, thus the players expectations should be higher. GeoW and Uncharted both had crappy looking foliage. Sure, both games had some nice textures, but Niko Bellic has animations very close to those of Nathan Drakes, plus the whole living and breathing world, with the addition of the weather effects and everything, it's just a more compelling package for me.

no but both have games that run smoother on either or....doesnt that count moreso then pixel count or texture res.? well i mean as long as the game doesnt scarifice just about all graphical fidelity for smoothness (ala haze)

and the only debate i can really think of for multiplats are dev fault vs inferior hardware arguements like the one i stated above

i didnt say they dont count...im just saying an exclusive that devs put some hard time into can be used as an arguement for either console, multiplats not so much because you have alot of things to account for that exclusives dont have to deal with (most of the time)
