Okay guys, so before booting this baby up with the huuuuge patch - I was expecting a Huge COD styled frag-fest. Boy was I wrong.
So I get in, and I pick what I've been told the most underpopulated "faction" S.V.E.R. which are the nitty gritty, bottom line soldiers and as soon as I make my character I'm thrown into a sort of pre-lobby with someone welcoming me to the faction and a whole host of options and what not to my disposal as far as immersion goes I was already immersed.
So I go and deploy, and go into the match and as soon as I get in theres someone assigned with a leader role and I was surprised by how many people had headsets by the way.
The guy was literally shouting out commands on his headset
"We need someone on the heavy machine gun on the top...who will take that position"
- I will..I'll do that..(some guy)
"Okay, and make sure you don't do this and that...etc"
"WE GOTTA DEFEND THE BUNKER GUYS, STAY CLOSE, YOU SEE THOSE 2 PEOPLE GOING REALLY FAR AWAY THAT'S NOT COOL! - STAY NEARBY SO I CAN HEAL YOU"
"Can someone heal the building down there?"
"Their spawning behind us be careful"
and what not, I was new, and ofcourse a noob and I told the guy straight up.
He was like okay man, just stay close to the bunker he dropped down the controls for me and the basics and stayed near me so I had extra support and what not.
As far as the first hour goes, I was REALLY IMPRESSED. I didn't think any beta could be as good as U2 :p I stand corrected.
Anyone else in the beta? Care to share some tips, how and what you think?
