Omg, shepard again owning himself.he's a gaming fan and a tech wiz and did the numbers on his own and told my class during a break that ps3 has three times the processing power over x360 during gameplay action.
And then i was like ummmmm thats OLD! I knew that already.
Just wanted to share this with you my friends.

What he said is true... but the applications written for the PS3 have to be written in a completely different way than from PC's, 360, and the Wii. It's really, REALLY hard to develop games that take full advantage of the PS3, and that's why I think it's going to fail miserably.he's a gaming fan and a tech wiz and did the numbers on his own and told my class during a break that ps3 has three times the processing power over x360 during gameplay action.

Hahaha, high school.WeeWeeJumboI had some teachers in HS who were more qualified than the teachers I have in college.
I wouldnt doubt at max that the cell would have 3x more processing power than the 360's cpu...the cell is a beast.Like the PS2's cpu,it wont be beat for years. Its 10x more powerful than any of todays processor...so IBM said a while ago.Dont know if quad-core processors are included, but definately stronger than a dual-core processor...no matter how long any rabbid hermit's rant is about how the cell and 360 cpu are stripped down...and can be beat by a single-core athlon because they cant do out of order computations,or whatever it was.:)Ill believe IBM,theyre pretty trust worthy. http://www-5.ibm.com/e-business/uk/innovation/cell_chip.html?tactic=106AW04W

The Cell is, by far, the most powerful CPU on the market. What's holding it back (and IMO what's going to make it fail) is the weird way people have to write their applications for it. This is the way PC's, 360, Wii, etc are written: Do this thing Now do this Now this Go back to the top and do it again. The Cell however: Do this and do this thing over here and do this thing on that SPE over there while that thing is running Do that on the last SPE and when that's done, do this thing on the main processor and so on and so forward The Cell way is a hell of a lot more confusing, while the PC/360/Wii way is very linear and easy to keep track of.I wouldnt doubt at max that the cell would have 3x more processing power than the 360's cpu...the cell is a beast.Like the PS2's cpu,it wont be beat for years.

Yeah I took that into note, thats why I said its the most powerful at "max".Just like the PS2,very powerful processor and very hard to program for.I wouldnt doubt at max that the cell would have 3x more processing power than the 360's cpu...the cell is a beast.Like the PS2's cpu,it wont be beat for years.
