"Buying a ps3 is like socialism, you pay for the system and get everyhing for free. Buying a xbox is like capitalism, you pay for the systemBUT have to pay for everything else separately". This is an unbiased statement by the way. I'm in a college, political science class and this is how I better understand the difference between the two. :D It'a always good to add a litle humor to everthing in life.

PC is wild west capitalism, there are no "taxes" (re: licenses, royalties, online service fees, etc.) rendered by any single entity, even hardware has its own ecosystem of groups competing for your money (pirates = splicers)
360 is modern american socialism, you pay yearly taxes for services to a central entity, this entity subsidizes groups competing for your money and subsidizes any failures you may have with the system (but otherwise is still firmly capitalism)
Wii is communism, it's a low-cost "everybody" platform built not for the niche competitors but for the good of many, the central entity is the dominant player and tells all to exercise and be happy and believe in the mysticism of their great leader (Miyamoto)
PS3 is totalitarianism, it allows smaller groups to compete in its area but dominates and controls all the major channels through which its users see the world, all the major yearly products are produced by the central entity, propaganda is sent out constantly regarding all other platforms, and even media is preferred to be distributed on their own system (E3 2006 = their Stalingrad)
:O
That was creepy close to nailing each platform :O
