I dont think his school has a football team, or maybe thats the only sport they have left. Its either a football team or a swimming team that they have.

That's why Smash Bros is awesome. If Brawl has online play, I wonder if the view will pan in and out like it has done in the past when people go on the edges of the level.

I think people have a bad image of alot of people who play games nowadays, i find especially with the 360 where alot of people who i play sports with play gamesl ike Halo because they love the online competition :P I would like to see some of the people who are making fun of this guy to show themselves and what makes them so great :D

Its not like hes playing Bioshock on his own for 40 hours straight or WoW, hes sat in a room with friends, thats not the most anti-social thing ive ever heard

I really think theres a few myths about gamers now a days like that are pretty stupid:

They have no other hobbies

I play Acoustic and Electric Guitar + Piano and Keyboard all at high levels (its taken me years tho :P) and i love sports :O (sports games suck tho)

Gamers are all unheal

I work out and go to a gym :O I even have a Wii and swinging it around is teh healthy!!

Im not fat either which alot of people assume! And ive had a GF now for 3 years who im engaged to and marrying after i finish my law degree at uni:O imo Gamers Win!!!

Oh and BTW Xbox 360 Wins imo, great games now and in the future that are not just hopefully good :P (i like the Wii, but it will get more love when the UK gets SOME GAMES!!!! We havent even got Paper Mario Yet :P) Now its Consoles WARS!!

So everyone post pics to show gamers dont suck! :P

So, someone posts something about a "video game club" and then we get to see the true colors of System Wars:

Judgemental,stereotyping, sexist, homophobic, and blatantly ignorant people.

I have never been more sick of the posters in System Wars than I am now. I know there are a bunch of ignorant people, but I didn't think it was to this degree. No one who posts here has any right to judge someone elses lifestyle. Just the fact you post on a gaming site makes you as much of a "loser" as us no matter how much you cover it up in the real world with "cool" things like drug abuse and sex. Telling someone he/she is a "loser" or "has no life"for doing something he/she likes is just plain disgusting and that judgemental person needs to get over themselves and grow up.

Whatever word used to ridicule people with an interest in technology/games (Heck I've heard people call artists geeks) is solely reserved for people willing to come onto a website like this and "debate" over console games or multiplatforms.. I think you get the point. If you post in SW, you can be considered nothing but a geek. Pot.. Kettle.. Black.. Yada yada.

-Holeeee snap at the homophobic atmosphere that suddenly threw itself into this thread. Do any of you have like... gay/lesbian friends? Friends at all? Because I don't see how anyone could act that way towards a group of people for having a difference in interests whether--- oh this is System Wars.

-Girls? Don't make me laugh. I used to be part of the "in" group at school. My friends used to drink, do drugs and sleep around because it somehow elevated them above the rest of the school's population. O: Until one of them got pregnant and the other's failed all their exams.

But I don't understand. Does being part of a gaming club automatically = being socially inept? I mean surely there aren't girls outside of the club and these people have no other activities aside from gaming. One thing I'll admit, I'm no good with girls, not because I'm stuck playing games, never leave the house.. *Enter BS stereotype* but because I'm shy around the ones that like me. O: It's my own problem, not at all related to gaming or whatever clubs/group of people I hang around with.

Haha, I'll probably read the rest of it tomorrow. To be honest I should be asleep right now, should be.

I'd like to say though, I wish my school had a gaming community, or any type of clubs... Heck a community or people that flat out didn't suck. American schools/activities always seem so much more interesting than European ones. Particularly British.

I'm going to college starting Monday. I'll doubt they'll have anything interesting to sign-up to, if anything at all. I can't seem to shake the feeling that my classmates are going to be people I won't get along with either. It's scary.

Yea, because playing video games in Highschool instead of getting a drunk and chasing after chicks always leads to 40 year old virgin status.

The funny thing is, when I was young. All I needed to do to have fun was a stick that looked slightly reminiscent to a luger pistol and my imagination and I was set.

However, when I grew older. It was all about alcohol. A day at the park was always boring, however throw 4 cans of beer in the works and you couldn't have more fun.

Doesn't from me, I've seen what alcohol does to people. What it makes people and how it people can become dependent on it. Suppose it's just people I've come across.

Although - saying that, it's simply not for me. If other people want to drink it's their own choice, I could care less. At the same time I don't think I'm better than them or anything silly like that before people think I'm riding around on a high horse. :p

But, that's not to say I can't make friends without drinking or enter stable social environments. It simply isn't necessary, depending on the situation it could help.

Sigh, I never got the chance of having Gaming or Anime Clubs back in the day, lucky people. I always wondered what Tales of Sympathy was like in 4 player mode, I only played it probably to 2 people, almost 3.

It does very bad things to people, although it depends on the person. People can be aggressive or jolly. Alcohol always made me calmer and more relaxed.

its not considered cool i laugh at my freinds that all ways want to do weed but the fact is every1s tried it i have most of my school has i think it was proven that only 2% of all teenagers have not smoken weed
