I still think my point about the wii taking a big step toward virtual reality is a good one. That's why people who were not into video games, oops i mean the uninformed, are now interested in this console. I'm also not sure what the big joke would be laughing at someone who says they're thinking of getting one. What was funny was seeing Nintendo's plan working right before his eyes. Though I agree, it would be funny as hell watching a college friend or my mom buying a PS3.

I could care less what others say if I see a game "I" like then I'm getting it. Hell everyone says Shadow the Hedgehog was a crappy game, but I had alot of fun with it.

This is bad for gaming. Why would a company spend millions of dollars to develop an game like UT3 or gears of war when Wii games cost nothing to make and are simple to develop and program. From a business standpoint it seems like there would be no question. If Wii wins look forward to shift toshort overly simple that your Mom can play.

The game industry was in need of growth. In order for you to have your UT3 or Gears the market needs to grow. UT3 and Gears will not expand the market, will defitnely keep the veterans and enthusiasts happy but will not expand. When a market stops expanding it starts to shrink and then you won't get casuals nor "hardcores" and you'll be back to playing board games. Nintendo is doing great bussiness (you know the whole point of selling things) and at the same time is helping many companies grow. Sure they will be a lot of casual games and mediocre ones, just like the PS2 had, but there will always be high quality ones that were produce thanks to all the crappy ones selling well.

blah blah blah. The only credible reason people diss the wii with is that it doesn't have the games. Well it hasn't been around very long! By this time next year you'll all have to have a new argument for why the wii is such a terrible system. It will probably come down to graphicsversus the wiimote, which will seal the deal for a wii victory this gen.

The wii will always have casual games on it, but a lot of hardcore games as well. So many people think that the wii will only have minigame collections and crappy ports, like somehow the first 9 months of the wii's library will be representative of the entire library for the entire gen. That is laughable, the devs have to figure the tech out and there will be great games on the wii. This holiday season will usher in the wii's supremacy in gaming period, forget about sales. Dont worry about that!

Yes, that is exactly waht happened to comic book. Do people really want that to happen to games?
