My Wii is feeling left out...Nintendo, gieb AAAA please?

What do you guys think - with AAAAs for each of the other two heavy hitters, Nintendo now remains the only without. I know we have no crystal balls, but let's predict for fun: could, and do you envisage Nintendo managing an AAAA this gen?

This is by any means necessary: core franchises, original ones, WiiWare, you name it...

I'd give a (controversial) prime rating to Trauma Center: New Blood, because it's by far the best in it's genre to have ever come out.

do people really put so much into just 1 review from just 1 person?

SMG is rated higher than GTA4 and MGS4 on GR. which i would think is a greater accomplishment than getting a 10 on a specific site.

Nope. I bought one again, if you can believe it. My next door neighbour sold hers for $100, and I couldn't resist. It's given me a chance to catch up on all the awesome games I missed over the last year, and I look forward to the rest. No need to get nasty :)

As for those who think I'm trolling: I most definitely am not, I just thought it would be fun to speculate. I'll admit, I'm always tempted by high scoring games, but it's by no means the single deciding factor.

I'm glad people play GS reviews constantly! It must be much cheaper playing reviews of games than making your own mind up and buying/renting them yourself and making your own opinion up if its a good game or bad.. Hell I'm going to start playing GS reviews. Can i play the review of Super Smash Brothers Brawl as i've read the review is awesome and shows great pics.

I agree. It certainly hasn't kept me from playing "crap" games. I think what it boils down to is use your own judgement & only listen when the reviews shred the game. In other words, a 7-10 rating means the game is playable & most likely enjoyable regardless of what someone at a review station says.

Several titles, mainly Super Mario Galaxy, and SSBB are considered AAAA by the vast majority of sites. And don't you dare say that only Gamespot counts, because the score that Gamespot gives doesn't change the quality of a game.

In the grand scheme of things the differences between a 9.5 and a ten are minimal at best.

We haven't seen a Wii Zelda yet, just a Gamecube port.

I just don't see where Galaxy fell short on Gamespot :( Still it is #2 on GR. Probably THE Wii specific Zelda will.

They need to get their act together... Come out with Eternal Darkness 2 or some brand new Hardcore game with a good story. No party game is going to get an AAAA

I said this in the other thread, but I think SMG deserved a 10 if GTA could get one. Haven't played MGS4 yet, but the critic average on that one is nowhere near the top 10 (or even 20) of all time, sooooo....

Oh well, atleast Mario gets the award for only game ever to get zero reviews under 90% :P

I'm not sure about that. I do think Mario was the best chance at getting a 10. I'm not sure any of the other games deserved a 10. I thought Zelda and MP3 were both AAA quality, but that's neither here nor there. I'd definitely say that Mario Galaxy defined and perfected its genre, and the series. Not only did it move the platforming game forward with exiting new gameplay and amazingly varied environments, it also had a ton of throwbacks to cla.si.c Mario Bros. That said, it's a shame it didn't have voice acting and a decent story.

Thats true but all their AAA series are out... They might surprise with a new game though :D I have a wii and its getting left in the dust. I hope the Wii gets a very good game...

Zelda TP was a top GCN game but a medium Wii title.

The next Zelda should fully utilize the Wii's abilities.
