PS1 DuhEPaul
[QUOTE="EPaul"]PS1 DuhX_CAPCOM_X
It's a simple fact of the matter that the PS1 had no multiplayer titles, though.
I see it this way:
PS1- A massive amount of fantastic games came out frequently.
N64- When it did get fantastic games, the games blew everybody away. There just were only a couple a year.
I still have my PS One but I never owned a N64. The PS One had Resident Evil and many games like it that the N64 didn't have.cukoo
You can say that about any system. Besides, N64 has RE2 and was going to have RE0 exclusive (went to Gamecube). I'm not sure if it had RE3.
The Saturn.Panzer_Zwei
ROFL!!!! You're funny.
I would say N64 because from a personal point of view, N64 had games which were amazingly revolutionary for it's time and although PS1 had great games, nothing was mroe emotional and epic for me than OoT and nothing was more addictive and fun than weekend Goldeneye Multiplayer.
i say the n64 has the better games because i love playingtork2,oot,goldeneye and pdgearsoftime
Sorry man, but you'd be WAY wrong. I can tell you in SW, the Sheep blindly vote N64 every time, but the entire world knows it was PSOne BY FAR. BY FAR.
N64 had some classics though.
[QUOTE="Panzer_Zwei"]The Saturn.Sir-Marwin105That wasn't a choice, so stop trying to be a smart ass.I don't care about the choices, I can post what I want, and if you don't like what I post, then don't reply to them, that simple.
The Saturn.Panzer_ZweiAll i had was the saturn... but yeh being in Scotland and not having all the great games from Japan and stuff was so bad... anyway i was young lol 16 the now 17 in one month from now.

Not blindly. If you get PS1's top 10 and N64's top 10 than it's down to opinions, N64 i would say wins quite easily but that's just me. PS1 was the better system because it had more support and overral more games, more success. I had a PS1 all through that gen but if i had to choose my top 10 games of that gen 8 of them would be N64 games. Unlike last gen where most of them would be PS2 games. Also N64 sold very well in U.S in fact it sold almost much as the SNES, so it's not a surprise it has a strong fanbase.

That's the Problem. Top Ten's? That plays to the N64's strength. Nostalgia.
You may have made an educated vote, but you are the MINORITY.
Still, The PSOne is more than an RPG machine, and it simply had WAY too many great games. That's that. The World already voted on this years ago, it was the PSOne as the victor. What happens is there are fans in here that are voting blindly for N64, not having played the PSOne at all or very much. I owned and own both. It is no contest the amount of games I have for each system. If we start counting ALLL THE AAA games, it's over. If we count AA games, the N64 is beyond dead.
Nostalgia votes is what the N64 thrives on, and that's why it will always win in SW. Oooooh! Goldeneye, Oot, Mario64, MarioKart, etc. Whatever.
This poll should probably be limited only to people who owned both consoles.
And can we try to avoid the mentality that one is definitively better than the other? Do you people understand the concept of an opinion?
Moving on, personally I preferred the N64's library. And why hasn't anyone mentioned Mario Kart 64? I'm sure some of you think it's overrated, but I still play that game with friends today.
[QUOTE="Sir-Marwin105"]Sorry, but you seem to be complaining to me, everytime I post anything. :?Panzer_ZweiI'm sorry man. I guess I just complain to much.:(
I love the N64, and it's games. But i'm gonna have to go with the PlayStation. The games were better on that. It had loads of RPGs, which the N64 didn't have very many of. The PlayStation was also available for a lot longer. The N64 was still a great console though.ShadowLaguna
The N64 lacked more than RPG's, it didn't have barely any Fighting games, Which WERE HUGE BACK THEN. HUGE.
No Street Fighter on the N64? That's atrocious. It lacked A LOT.
Nostalgia votes are all it gets these days.

Because Crash Team Racing was actually considered better than Mario Kart 64. I had both and liked them equally, but GS gave MarioKart 64 a 6.4!
Mario Kart = 6.4.
CTR = 8.4
That's that.

Tekken 1-3, Soul Blade, Marvel Vs., King of Fighters, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Dead or Alive, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, etc. None onN64. enjoy Smash Bros. part One, even though it was crappy.
FIGHING GAMES WERE HUGE BACK THEN!

Sorry, I assumed we could have one thread free from the whole "Gamespot's rankings are law" mentality. If Gamespot liked Crash Team Racing more then that's fine. Personally I, and I'm sure many others, liked Mario Kart 64 more.
Also, there was a 2.5 year gap between these two games...
Mario Kart 64 (N64) Release Date: Feb 10, 1997
Crash Team Racing (PS) Release Date: Sep 30, 1999
It has already been established for almost a decade that n64 had the best games.Willy105The PS won, even in your original Retro Wars thread.
