[QUOTE="Daytona_178"]Plus they are a company thus want as much money as possible!Rahnyc4yep, cause thee next gen HD is expensive. STOP CALLING IT NEXT GEN! its current gen, if anything its dated gen compared to the PC.
Haven't read the article yet, but that makes some sense. My cousin is the biggest Tekken fan I know, and he only has a 360. He didn't write Namco-Bandai about it though, he just falls into the demographic. I'll be getting this on the PS3 though, its an identity-history thing for me. Kinda like if Gears 3 was multiplat, I would still get it on 360.Episode_Eve
I would get it on the PS3 myself (if I had one) for similiar reasons. I'm more at home with the controller setup for Tekken with the Playstation Controllers. It would be really awkward for me to play on the X360 controllers. I feel the same way about a few other multiplats that were originally Playstation exclusives.

Yeah, OK. I doubt Tekken fans really wanted to wait an extra year for the game just so it could be simultaneously released on both consoles.Floppy_JimLol, I agree. It goes both ways, same thing with FFXIII.

It goes both ways, same thing with FFXIII. If you ask me, they should have tried to get the PS3 version out as soon as possible, perhaps by the end of 2008. And then got to work on the 360 version for a 2009 release. That way, everyone wins. I really don't understand why Namco didn't just do that.

So it's quite understandable methinks. The Ps2 was king last gen so there was no reason to release the tekkens on the xbox/cube. That isn't the case anymore.

Not to mention, if they released the PS3 versions first, it could help to sell systems as timed exclusives.

I know I'll get flamed for it but:
I mean seriously, why else choose to halt the release of one version just to release them both at the same time?

In the case of FFXIll, they're just choosing to wait to localize both of them at the same time. Japan will get the PS3 version on time. That one is understandable IMO.
and because OF DA MOOOONNNEEEHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!EyezonmiiThe only reason why I am gong to say sales matter and everyone here knows I hate sales, is so that devs can get more money to produce a better game, I mean i don't blame them. But I HATE it and I mean it when i say this, is when fanboys say Game X is better then Game Y Because it sold more

I know i'll get flamed for this, but i think it's pretty obvious MS threw some money at Square-Enix and Namco to make FFXIII and Tekken 6 a simultanious release for PS3 and 360. MS is smart.

I wouldint be shocked if MS didint throw some money in to make it come out the same time. Besides that its pretty obvious with this gen being uber expensive for devs that it would go multiplat.
Yep, Scamco, I mean Namco is a company devoted to the fan service. Hence the FANservice DLC on launch written on the disc itself, the character DLC fiasco of SC4 Vader/Yoda. Of course they did it because of fan demand...nothing about money, just fans.
Sorry, I'm just not buying that.

I think MS covered dev costs and paid out for exclusives in certain cases.
The true reason has to do with speed. The 360 is the faster console.
Shame DOA didn't stick around to humiliate Tekken on the 360 though.

I don't see much reason for companies like SE and Namco to just leave huge IPs like FF and Tekken sitting there without making them any money for months, unless of course they got some kind of compensation for it.I agree with this.Yep, Scamco, I mean Namco is a company devoted to the fan service.
