And yet no one who purchased the Wii in NA or Europe had a choice.  If for example, the Wii was also sold for $200 without Wii sports, then we would have a more accurate evaluation of its sales.  But since this isn't the case, using a forced bundled game as an example of strong game sales on the Wii is pretty desperate.

Ugh all these quotes is ridiculous. In game quality, the person who said Halo is a noob fps is partly right, there are waaaay more complex ones out there, Halo is really simple so it drew in a crowd. It'a a teriffic game, well-made, but in overall quality Samus eats HalO's for breakfast. Sales though, MP3 won't catch it. SSBB will I think.OfficialJab

I'm not a Nintendo fan, but I know 3 games that could outsell Halo 3. I'm not saying they will but they have the potential to. And they are:

-SSB

-Super Mario Galaxy

-Metroid Prime 3

If i'm wrong, and Metroid Prime was such an amazing game, then why did less than half of the people who bought the first one purchase Echoes? Halo 2 outsold Halo:CE. San Andreas outsold Vice City.

Apparently the greatness of Prime faded fast.

Wait so sales determine if a game is good now? Since when. We weren't talking about sales we were talking about the quality of the game. This is the exact point I'm talking about. Not many people have played it due to sales so how can it be overrated in your sense?

Greatness? WHAT GREATNESS? Halo is the posterboy for garbage and being more overrated than the xbox360 is. and thats going right to the top. there are so many great shooters then that. here's the number : ALL OF THEM.

SSBM sold a crapload so I'm gonna guess that SSBB can sell a lot too. And with online, who knows how much it'll sell? Mario Galaxy also looks like it has a good chance.

But honeslty, I'm kinda getting sick and tired of all the people here who act like Halo 3 is God's gift to gamers. It's a great game, definitely deserving of its AAA status, but it's not going to sell 100 million copies like some of you people think it will.

Is it somehow ownage when one game on a console outsells all the games on another console?  The 360 HAS been out a year longer more than the Wii, making it's use-base much larger.  Not to mention that the Wii's best selling franchises aren't coming out till the end of the year, giving more time for Halo 3 to sell.

It doesn't matter how much it sells, Halo will always be casual trash that only n00b FPS gamers enjoy because they don't have the pocket money to play real FPS games on a PC. It's like Nintendogs, shallow trash that only non-gamers like lemmings enjoy due to its lack of complexity.

Metroid Prime 3 will destroy it gameplay wise, just like Prime 1 and 2 did to Halo 1 and 2.

Do you even know how many people have already pre-ordered Halo 3?

Well the first Halo sold over 6 million and the 2nd Halo sold close to 9 million. Halo 3 will surpass both and probably go over the 10 million sold mark. Halo 3, combined with system selling titles such as Mass Effect and GTA IV will push 360 sales into the multi millions this holiday. Halo 3 will also push XBL sales too.

I don't expect any game to beat Halo 3 in sales this year, except for GTAIV.the-very-best

 I agree with that. The last 3 legit GTA games (GTA 3, VC and SA) each sold over 10 million copies I believe. I think Halo 3 will be the first Halo game to do that as well, but I think GTA IV will probably out sell it in the end.

Remember, a lot of these games will be out before Halo 3.  Halo 3 only gets Christmas sales where a game like Twilight Princess gets the whole year of sales.

yeah but Jezus christ, Mortal kombat?Star wars(we know nothing about it), Tetris(wtf is wrong with u). And Twilight princes was released in 2006 so it doesn't count. We don'y know when Mario kart and Mario galaxy are being released so it might aswel be christmas also..
