why cant you lower the settings
Glitches that can screw you up like in Fallout 3. Don't get me wrong, I love the game so far, but I am less afraid of dying then I am of running into a horrible glitch.Ross_the_B0SSI remember having one where I was in the market in Rivet City, I walked up to the weapons salesman and as soon as I talked to him everything turned black and the framerate dropped so bad, I thought I was screwed because I hadn't saved the game for ages, but then I remebered that it auto saves all the time. It was an annoying glitch though, I thought my game was glitched or my system had bricked.
Games that don't clearly state your destination/objective. Running around aimlessly in KHI, only to give up and go to Gamefaqs every half hour, annoyed the **** out of me.VanHelsingBoA64
Well that's not exactly a flaw if you're talking about rpgs or atleast wrpgs. Having freedom of destination is what those games are all about.
the absolutely annoy flaw that ruins games for me would be ,lag or frame rate drop , or not even a flaw but you know in goldeneye 00 agent , control i always thought that mission was rigged, so that youd always lose because over half the times ive played that mission natalya ends up dead ,
awful controls also gets my attention, most known in gta san andras on pc , mouse and key board dont work very well with this type of game to many control inputs, with the keys all spread out not in one place,
To name a few:
Linear-esque gameplay. I always favored games like Crysis and Left 4 Dead over games like Far Cry 2 or Gears of War 1/2.-Jiggles-
THIS! Just like no variety in the gameplay.
Also being too easy, having no challenge can ruin a game for me.
For me it has to be when you enter an area you can't leave at the end of a game. If your underpowered your screwed. Also the icing on the cake for this is when afterwards they make you do some stupid event that if you screw up, you must start from scratch. The latest game I've played to be an offender of this design flaw, Parasite Eve. Hard boss battle, win, run from creture, DON'T TURN RIGHT, DON'T TURN FRICKEN RIGHT, you'll thank me later. Thats mine, name yours.ActicEdgeYes i hate that flaw... another is a glitch that won't let you complete the game, such as that of Prince of Persia Warrior Within. I got to the end 3 times and hit the glitch each time.

framerate
im playin MGS4 right now and while I love the game to death and can tolerate the framerate dips
its just wierd, its like a PC, the frame rate goes up and down wildly like a PC game, if your in a certain place it will jump to 60 fps (and its awesome) and then in battles it goes down to even below 25 fps
and no it has not ruined the game for me, its just kinda annoying
When the game doesn't quite tell you what to do, and your stuck searching the same area for an hour till you find it...RoushrshHumping the environment with the X button, praying for something, ANYTHING, to happen.
Not knowing exactly where your next objective is or where to go. I mean sure they tell you in the conversation right before you get sent off, but come on!
Also, lack of checkpoints or such things. If I am going to fight a big boss and there isn't a save point around, and then I die and have to go back to the last save, that really annoys the crap out of me.
Single player - Making a game seem long by adding in unnecessary things since people won't buy a game these days without multiplayer or it has to be a 500 hour campaign.
Multiplayer - Takes little to no skill, created for the casuals (mostly you kids) to sell. Games such as COD4, Halo 3 (the hitbox is huge for no reason. Your crosshairs don't even have to be near the person and you can still shoot/melee them. Not sure if it's on youtube but search cTs LANtage 4 and you'll see what i'm talking about) Gears of War 2, Resistance, etc.

Also theres plenty enemies in between each boss. And if you die you start all over. As for me, its controls. When it comes to 2d fighting games with 6 button layouts like SF if I don't have an arcade stick I wont play it. Also console shooters have this problem for me
[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor24"]not being told where to go or what to do, so you end spending about an hour jus looking around.....Limited save checkpoints. I hate that. Why can't we just save anywhere we want?
jeezers
DMC4 comes to mind.

I turned off DMC3 because the opening cinematic was the dumbest thing I've ever seen[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor24"][QUOTE="jeezers"]not being told where to go or what to do, so you end spending about an hour jus looking around.....Cloud_Insurance

I turned off DMC3 because the opening cinematic was the dumbest thing I've ever seen haha it was really over the top in games i dont like - poor camera - poor controls - looong checkpoints where i must play all over again if i die - repetitive missionsPlease Log In to post.
