Name some of your favourite series that are ruined now

Resident Evil - Athough RE4 was a good game, I would have preferred it if RE kept the survival/adventure and puzzle-solving approach, and it's only gone further away.

Final Fantasy - I didn't like the combat in FFXII. The combat in FFXIII I thought was better, but story and characters left a lot to be desired, and now that universe is being milked.

Ace Combat - Very disappointing demo for the latest one. For example, being able to slam into the ground without dying, and regenerating health, it takes away the tension. Also, the parts where the game takes control away from you, it didn't add anything, it just takes away immersion.

On the bright side, great new series come along every gen.

Ace Combat is dead if Assault Horizon was the first of many games to take that route, the effing game felt like an on rails air combat game, it was disgusting.

Silent Hill: It stopped being worth mentioning after Silent Hill 3. I am willing to bet against Downpour

Silent Hill 4 had its moments, i liked the game, it has nothing on SH3 but its still a worthy horror survival game, there is nothing like SH4 coming out right now.

Its a downgraded port from the Wii, its tainted either way.

Dungeon Siege 3 made me sick to my stomach, but that wasn't made by the original developers.

World of Warcraft is probably the only notable franchise I don't like now. Once they started removing any reason to be social, in order to succeed, that game just lost it's magic.

Gothic and Ninja Gaiden.

Final Fantasy comes to mind, although I don't really feel it is "ruined", it just hasn't been up to standards as past games as of late. We just need FFXV to help people forget FFXIV and to give us something more fresh than the FFXIII universe. This is of course if FFXV will be good, which hopefully it is.

The Need For Speed. The franchise veered off a cliff ever since Underground came out. Add currently Criterion Games developing it into a burnout-esc abandoned miscarriage step-child to that mix, and the franchise is now sunken at the bottom of an ocean.

There's a lot. But the biggest one is Paper Mario, if the handheld game is any indication of what to expect from now on, if there even will be another PM.

What has this gen given us, though? The Force Unleashed 1 & 2? A few crappy Clone Wars games for Wii?STAR WARS KINECT!? This has been pretty much the worst generation for Star Wars games since the Atari 2600.
