Naruto is an okay series. It's part of the Shonen Jump crowd and suffers from it's target audience (the 12 year olds impressed with insane fights and no substance). Not every SJ manga shares this fate (Death Note) but it's clear what crowd Naruto is aiming at. Hell, I think Bleach is an infinitely better series than Naruto. Same with One Piece.

Series like Rurouni Kenshin, Battle Angel Alita, Great Teacher Onizuka, Death Note, Banana Fish, Akira, Boogiepop Phantom, Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed and many others are better series than Naruto imo.

The Naruto game being made by Western devs doesn't surprise me half as much as Ubisoft have been working themselves off lately. As a gamer I have to admit that Ubisoft are making me proud at the amount of dedication they are putting in their work. =)

that maybe true (and i do like most of the anime u stated), but in the end of the day they are a business... Naruto is a huge success (heck it was named best anime of 2005 and 2006 in many places), you cant just stereo type it and say it's for kids

yes it does not have the more adult like and deep story, but hey, it's entertaining and pretty much considered the best anime out there now

It's entertaining, yes, but it's not the best anime out there. Not by a long shot. Hell, as a fighting anime series, Yuu Yuu Hakusho was an infinitely better series than Naruto. It's a huge success because it meets the keys to success: It has a main character who is a kid, is a ninja, a screw up but still succeeds. Keep in mind that Yugioh blended similar themes and was (If not more) successful than Naruto here in the States. Doesn't make it the best thing ever.

Yes, at the end of the day it's still a business but don't lump business with quality. Naruto is a decent series but it's far from being the best thing since sliced bread. Hell, DBZ was more influential as a series than Naruto by a long shot.

It will be interesting to see what ubi does with this naruto game. I'll be keeping an eye out for it as ubi-soft Montreal is a good studio.

Naruto. It's alright, but I can't watch it in English. And, all the filler episodes drive me insane. My first impression of this news of the game was that it will be like TMNT. Just because it's Ubi or a Western developer, doesn't mean it's going to be good.

If Ubisoft Montreal is developing this, then I might get this. This might be a really good Anime game.

Ubisoft puts dedication in their games huh? Farcry vengance for the wii and splinter cell for the Wii say otherwise.
