Seriously I wonder why people aren't hyping that game more. That has gotta be on of the best freakin fighting games I've played in a lil while. It perfectly captures the anime/manga they animation is superb as are the models. It's pick and play but has a extreme amount of depth once you get the hang of it. top all that with a guranteed story mode, over 25 playable characters and multi-tiered lvls. I understand that people are dissapointed about lack of online play but I gurantee if we make some noise about the game they would either patch it or push it back to include online play. It's just kinda weird that ps3 owners aren't parading this title around, it's a very strong title.Mavrickkal
if you are seriously saying that peice of **** is better than DOA 4, and Virtua Fighter 5, HELL even Dragon Ball Z burst limit. than just....wow
I love the style of this game, it looks terrific. I'd really like to see this game deliver. I've never played any of the Naruto games or watched it on TV. Why do so many have a bad opinion of it?EmperorSupreme
It's pretty much DBZ but more soap opera-ish and with ninjas.
It looks to be a pretty solid game, but the fact that it's set in the Naruto Universe pretty much guarantees that I'll never pick it up.gamefreakomegaYeah. Though the graphics are drop dead awesome, My faith isn't too high since the Naruto game franchise hasn't fared all too well. But who knows?

I messed around with the demo for like 20 minutes.
It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. Again, my biggest problems with it are the story and the characters.

Yup there is. Im getting this day one.
I love the demo. It capturesthe anime perfectly. I hope they add online play.
One question: Is this a Action Adventure/ Fighter? Because in the demo, it says "...explore the world..."
im mad @ namco/bandai cyberconnect 2 for making really crappy naruto games in the past.this is their last chance to impress me!LinKuei_warrior
What? You must be mistaken, the 2D Narutimate series was excellent on the PS2. I own every one of them, very good fighting games. Very techinical too.
They are saying there is going to be a full story mode that leads to the end of the first half of the manga which great if you know what I'm talking about. so yea right now it's shaping to be a Action/adventure fighting game.I love the demo. It capturesthe anime perfectly. I hope they add online play.

Its generally have a rpg-likemode where you move around and do quests (battles, etc.). Thats what the previous Narutimate games did.

then you should try looking at it with an unbiased eye. Try looking at it as a new IP and you might get something more out of it.[QUOTE="sargentbotk"]yea but they are saying in this one you'll be able to move around the world freely.I love the demo. It capturesthe anime perfectly. I hope they add online play.

yea but they are saying that you'll be able to move around the world freelyI hope so. If it is like that, then this'll be the first Naruto game I'll buy. The others weren't as almost perfect as this one seems to be.
Can't wait. :)
Naruto is really gay C4_yourself
Oh no you di-int! :x
The Japanese version is better than the english version. The Japanese voice actors add more sense of epicness to the anime.
It's safe to say that Naruto is the new DBZ this generation. But by no means is it better. DBZ is the best anime ever!

i hate them with a passion....button mashing combat is nothing i would ever suspect from a naruto game..i expected more sequence...pressing random buttons while a cutscene plays is not my idea of good gameplay.now i like the way Rise of a ninja did the whole handsign thing(not the best naruto game out),that made doing the jutsu fun...but their biggest flaw was that that was the only way to pull off a jutsu is to do handsigns and it jets to a cutscene....but if Narutimate incorporated the handsign thing and require more to pulling off jutsu than just pressing O in a direction, then id probably appreciate the series more.they tried doing that in the later narutimates by letting you be able to charge your power attacks, but the fact that they recycle the same fighting system is just not cool at all. This new naruto game looks like it has substance...so i hope it plays out better than the ones i played on the PS2
i kinda folow naruto (just because of the story, after finishing harry potter [harry potter was ruined after the 6th book]) so the characters dont really trouble me and as a fighting game, the games is very good. I love the jumping and the environment, very good fighting game

DOA is an overrated fighter. I don't even own a copy of the game but I continue to whoop on people claiming to be hardcore players. SF, Tekken, Soul calibur, Virtua fighter, Those games a real fighters. DOA is a novelty fighter like killer instinct. The best dragon ball z game to date never came to the states. dbz: legends. 3 on 3 fighting in an open plane, switch characters on the fly and decide who your teamates are fighting. No matter how pretty these new DBZ games are they still never capture the essence of the show because they move to slow. However this new Naruto game moves damn near identical to the manga and anime fights. Its awesome fighting game , no doubt, even if youre not fan of naruto.
If you are , then this fighting game is A W E S O M E.. I played a demo of it , which you could choose only 2 characters and play on the same stage all the time , but guess what... I was playing like 2 hours non stop lol... Was very nice game indeed.
*sigh* Now if only they would wise up and include online playIts awesome fighting game , no doubt, even if youre not fan of naruto.
