naruto: rise of ninja is a great game

just completed the single mode, about 8-9 hours long.

the gameplay kind like GTA, with some rpg feature, boss fighting is like FTG. also consists of many fun mini games.

it's the best naruto game I ever played, better than any japan made naruto games before.

Well I agree it's the best Naruto games I played. I like the little free roaming I can do. I hope they make more anime games like this.

I love the free roam style in Konoha, I've got over 11hrs going into the campaign. Trying to finish all the side quests, which are a large part of the fun imho.

That being said there are so many missing portions, and the fighting is only through Naruto (while the anime/manga obviously isn't), and even content that is there is inconsistent or half-hearted. While this is a huge leap for anime games, it leaves a lot of room to grow.

Hoping they release a DLC for Japanese VA cause I can't stand the English VA after watching the series in Japanese. Couple glitches need fixed (they're game enders).

Anyway great game, glad I got it.

BTW Sexy Jutsu should never have a bathingsuit on :|

Yep, VS mode is very frustrating for me. That's my biggest complaint, but overall it's a wonderful game. Depicts the Naruto world very nicely.

I was thinking of buying this game for my lil bro... but its just too expensive gift and Im not rich enough to pay 60 bucks for every game...

Edit: I read in reviews and this thread that it is shorter than 10 hours.. thats like a 2weeks for the little brat.. lol

Also has anyone worked out the timing on performing Jutsus in battle? Can not for the life of me work out what that white bar that pops above your head is supposed to signify.

Anyone have any luck with the online achievements? The ninja test online achievements sound like a pain!

Basically you get 1 achievement for beating the online test mode with each character. From my understanding the test mode is a endurance match vs 6 random live opponents.

I want the game but the fighting portion turns me away I hear a lot of people saying the fighting isn't very good compared to the other Naruto gamesmurat8

I like the game because it is a adventure game that turns into a fighting game for all your battles. If I was buying the game as a fighting game only I don't think I would like it at all. I am content with the game as it is presented though.

Maybe you should rent it?

From what i've seen, the game looks like it intends hold holding your hand the entire way through and showing you exactly where to go by means of rings along the route to point you in the right direction.

The three white bars that are over your head represent the level of the jutsu, when the circle comes out you need to line it up inside one of the thre bars and that is the level of the jutsu, that is pretty easy to do for me....

The three white bars that go over your head represent the level of the Jutsu you are trying to pull of, the circle that expands you need to let go of LT when it is inside one of the white bars. If you let it go at the first bar, that is a level 1 jutsu, same thing for level two and three. It adds strategy in battle because to get to the higher level Jutsu it takes longer to charge than a weaker jutsu.

Ya, my dad, surprinsgly, commented on the graphics, "I like the paint look..looks cool." And he rarely ever says anything good about my video gmaes. It does look impressive, but I'm not interested enough to buy or even rent it yet.

you gotta do the moves that send them flying, it creates space between you and the person.
