Firstly, i will say i have nothing but good wishes for NATAL, i hope it is everything everyone wants it to be... i am sure everyone wants it to do what Wii remote controller didnt seam to do for many people, which is provide a unique motuion experience in a quality game (i am sure many of you would love Halo with motion sense, dont lie! throwing a grenade by swooshing your hand? Cool to me)
HOWEVER, i just feel like it may not hit home. You know how Wii spent all this time to push the Wii Fit Board. Sure, it is unique but it was mostly geared towards casuals and ends up just becoming any other peripheral. NATAL may be the same case, a cool peripheral but lacking in gamesworth high review scores (despite the fact you can use it to navigate in the home menu)
I dont feel like NATAl will revolutionize how we play 360.
I am not saying it cant, but i am not sure if it will. ....since the New Xbox Experience, it is becoming relevant Microsoft is trying to get both the hardcore fans and casuals, proving that you can appeal to every area of the market. NATAL leaks have already confirmed that most of the games coming this Winter for NATAL will already be meant for casuals. Is this a sign that maybe NATAL will become just like the Wii Fit Board, a unique peripheral no doubt but will only be used for rare occasions when a decent game comes out for it? I guess what i am trying to say is, i dont picture all of us in 2011 playng Fifa with our feet and Street Fighter with our fists. Once in a while an ok game will come for NATAL, but it wont be like 360 will constantly be cranking outfive starNATAL games on a monthly or even Semesterly basis.
For example, the next zelda otr mario will most liklely not be for wii fit board.... and i dont see the next Assassin's Creed, Gears 3, or Left 4 Dead 3 coming for NATAL. They may make one or two popular franchises use it somehow just to popularize the camera, but NATAL will definitly not be distracting us from our classic 360 controllers.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? I DO NOT FIND MY OPINIONS TO BE FACTS, JUST MY PERSONAL TAKE
