Only 50% of Naughty Dog worked on Uncharted 3, which is almost entirely different from saying it uses only 50% of the available resources on PS3. Just keeping in mind it's a Naughty Dog game you can be sure that is a load of crap, the guys make the hardware sing and have done so on every system they've worked on (3D0 and Genesis possibly excepted).

Before anyone tries to suggest that Naughty Dog was negligent to use only half their people on the game, keep in mind that they're a rather large developer these days as far as staffing goes and read about Brook's law. It doesn't directly apply, but adding more people to a project doesn't necessarily make it better.

The article just states that half of the ND team worked on The Last of Us while the other half worked on Uncharted 3.

Even if they did use half their team, that didn't stop the game from being both critically and commercially successful. And as far as console games are concerned, Uncharted 3 did things that other games (on consoles) haven't.
