Uncharted 2 does have better tech. The loading in KZ2 sucks. Why does it stop when you're going through a level for quite a lengthy load? Very annoying.

Uncharted 2 has better tech consistency, performance, and polish bottom line. So I'd have to disagree that Killzone 2 would deserve the award over it. Also the train level isn't tech. It could be done last generation. heybooboo19

Are you serious? just go and read the Naughty Dog Panel @GDC this year and read what was their hardest tech to deliver.

Ok those are not the exact quotes but they did say in an interview at GDC that they look up to KZ2 and look at it "as an inspiration to what we can do". They stated that KZ2 deserved the Best Technology award at GDC. I personally think Uncharted 2 looks way better than KZ2...maybe these guys are just being modest.

KZ2 only looks good in motion, but I have to agree with Naughty Dog here. From a technical standpoint, KZ2 is more advanced.

Killzone 2, aside from BFBC2 is the best shooter i have played on next gen consoles. Halo 3 was a bouncing joke and MW is a newbs delight. Killzone 2 was an 7/10 campaign and a 9/10 multiplayer.smartcriminal

ND is right.UC2 is by far IMO more beautiful game but when it comes to technicals,GG surpassed both,ND and SM.Only thing that will be able to go head 2 head technically on consoles will be Crysis 2 and Reach.

If you see the graphical detail, and the number of effects going on in that game, you will see that KZ2 is the most techncially advanced game on consoles.

Yap,for example i find both UC2 and Red Dead Redemption to look more beautiful,but when it comes to tech,no no.Lightning,post processing,particles,effects...superb.

1. pre-rendered static sun shadows. This is mix with real-time sun shadows.

2. pre-baked light in the light accumulation buffer.

3. Uses Bloom instead of HDR.

4. 720p with Quincunx MSAA.

Exactly. In the making of God Of War 2, the developers clearly say though GOW 2 blows the first out of the water in terms of graphics, it's tech is cheaper than the first.

Even though both are close, I don't know how anyone can say KZ2 is worse than UC2.

They must have a pretty crappy T.V or something. =\

That's what I have always thought until some weirdos amazed by vegetation and the green color stated U2 did look better than kz2 , ok it may be true , but then again Natgeo looks better than my yard if you go by the 'looks'.Now , it's undeniable though that kz2 has better tech.Oh and that real life has better resolution than NatGeo HD lol . :P

Well KZ2 was mostly very linear, even more than UC2. Also the draw distance in some of the lvls in UC2 is way better than KZ2...is that not technical?
