NBA 2K11 IGN Review!!! (HOLY MOLY 9.5!!!!)

9.5 and Michael Jordan on the cover. Doesnt matter whether ornot you area sports gamer. If you are a GAMER period, and you appreciate gaming, then you definitely should buy this game. As far as im concerned this is gaming history right here.

Then you should reconsider. It got a 9.5 and that probably has never happened on IGN or GS before for a sports game.

I guess 2K finally stopped copy/pasting title after title. I'm hoping they fixed the same flaws that have been in the game since the original NBA 2K

Ha I like to think of myself as a realist :P ... I played the demo, thought it was solid perhaps AAA worthy but damn I wasn't expecting so high (Even from IGN) .

It should've gotten a 10. But well deserved.

EA should pack up their bags and cancel NBA Elite, use that money to make a decent Madden or Medal of Honor.

I hope that isn't because they're going to pull a FIFA11 and release a buggy game which is missing features for the PC. If I find out it's identical to the console versions then I'm buying it ASAP.

the standards for a great basketball game I think are a little different then the standards of a great RTS.

The demo is GREAT!!!

It makes Kobe feel like Kobe, not a well shooting player who moved like a tank last year in 2K10. First day pick-up for me.

I don't know about the overall score but how the hell did this only get an 8.5 for graphics? I swear when I watch videos nd I don't squint up close, it looks like a real freaking game. No doubt the best graphics on an NBA games ever.

They've done this much work so I can't wait to see if they can build off what they've accomplished on 2k11. It's so impressive because basketball games are pretty much the hardest to make

I don't know about that. I have to admit, that AI was improved greatly in the demo and the rebounding and missed shots were actually fair and balanced. Way to many turnovers though, but that may have been my fault. I don't know if I want to trust IGN. I've been burned to many times with bad basketball games.

I would never play a sports game on the PC. Some genre just don't belong on the PC and sports is one of them. Last sports game I played on the PC was this http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sports/hardball6/ . Actually there is one sports game I do still play on the PC. Haven't played it in so long, I forgot. That game is "Links 2003" - http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sports/links2003/index.html That's probably the only sport I would continue to play on my PC.

Um while 2k10 wasn't great the best version by far is on the PC. Best graphics, playing way above 1080P, and mods (I was playing with all the old school teams in 2k10). You can use the 360 controller (among others) and it's only $30. So continue paying $60 for an inferior version.
